Working on Claude, people often ask about my workflow. You might be surprised that I'm not using classic Claude Code anymore, opening a terminal, or even running code on my Mac. No GitHub or PRs. I've never felt more creative: felixrieseberg.com/made-by-m…

these numbers from the new sonnet 5.5 is wild is this what pacing the frontier looks like
Introducing Claude Sonnet 5.5, the second model in the Claude 5.5 family. It’s a clear upgrade over Sonnet 5, runs more than 30% faster, and costs up to 30% less for most work.

I agree people should live more fully! That is not the same as becoming lazier to me. I'm afraid of us just doing the same work and life but just with agents.

how to maximize your codex usage: 1. give it less. shorter AGENTS.md, fewer skills, a clear definition of done. the model got smarter, your instructions didnt need to get longer 2. run an instruction debt audit once a week. ask it to find rules that waste context, contradict each other, or fire when they shouldnt. delete them 3. hand it the browser. let it open chrome, reproduce the bug, and verify the fix itself instead of you copy pasting stack traces 4. let it call other agents. i caught it fixing a bug through devin. dividing work between agents beats one agent doing everything 5. spend the expensive runs on one-way doors. schema, api contracts, the core abstraction. the cheap stuff can be redone next week 6. dont compact a long debugging session. start a fresh thread with a written handoff. compaction is lossy and you lose the exact thing you needed what am i missing

ali is building something completely new. i dont think even i completely understand it. i will do a deep dive next week
We now run the largest frontier lab composed entirely of autonomous AI researchers. Introducing Primus Society: a society of agents composed of thousands of researchers working under structured institutions designed to solve the world’s toughest problems. We believe this is how AI research should run at scale, safely and productively: an entire society of agents with institutions and purpose. One discovery we can already share is that the society has discovered a novel result which improves model training by 30%. Primus Society was inspired by the structures that have organized science for centuries and stress-tested against what’s known about how populations of AI agents fail. Everything is observable. You can open the virtual city in a browser and read what any researcher is working on. Learn more about Primus Society here: lab.cloud/society The biggest opening in the AI race is running the largest well-governed organization of AI researchers in the world. We’re building the institutions that let a million AI scientists safely tackle the world's toughest problems in AI and beyond. And we’re doing it right here in Canada.

woke up this morning and caught codex using chrome to fix a bug USING devin. @ScottWu46 created agi
Agents that escape locally get access to your whole machine, while ones that escape in the cloud essentially get only an empty tenant. This is a great piece on why cloud agents are inevitable: normanponte.io/19df691f

amazon has already started to block @Muse self-hosted OSS agents (e.g., hermes, openclaw, etc) will ALWAYS come out on top. compare it to the vpn industry. most websites know when you're on a vpn. companies like netflix even know which vpn youre using the same is happening with hosted agents
Amazon cuts off Muse. While I am bullish Meta and Muse, I think many people are overlooking the digital knife fight that’s about to occur Nobody wants to get commoditized or layered here. Let the games begin

the amount of engineering behind devin's agents are world class if you're doing iOS/macOS development and haven't tried it - you really should
Several months of work went into building Devin's Cloud Mac! We had to rebuild its disk, networking, provisioning, VNC, and computer use from scratch, in Rust. Read my first X article about how it all works 😊

How we built Devin's Mac

Last week we launched macOS support for Devin, extending Devin’s autonomous cloud development workflows to iOS apps, native macOS applications, and any project that depends on Apple’s development

the time has come openai 🤝 anthropic
We're adding support for AGENTS.md to Claude Code. Starting today in version 2.1.277, if there is no CLAUDE.md in a folder, Claude will check for and use AGENTS.md. You can toggle this behavior in /config.

what are the best *personal* iOS apps you've come across?
Devin now has a Mac  Here are 11 experiments I've run over the past week, as well as open source code for over 100 more native apps. Build, test, deploy iOS, iPad, and macOS apps in the cloud with just a prompt. ⚡ 1. Build and test a multi-platform, multiplayer app in the cloud (iOS, iPad, web)

if you building ai dashboards in the claude app: know that when you call on a model inside your app (artifact), you're locked to haiku: window.cowork.askClaude is hard-coded by the platform to Haiku, with no parameter to request a different model. There's no way to make that button call Sonnet or Opus from inside the artifact.

this is real i graduated highschool math with 98. i then went on to the university of toronto where i used the same habits i used to achieve that grade. i failed first year calculus (i got 46%, yes exactly half). i don't think im bad at math - i just lacked the discipline at the time
🚨 Waterloo is often described as the MIT of Canada. On CBC, Waterloo math instructor Dan Wolczuk describes first-year students arriving with inflated grades, missing foundational math skills, and unprepared for university math. The problem has worsened over time. He makes several important points: - High school math classes have been weakened so students can get better grades. - Less testing in high school and fewer standardized tests both hurt student learning and lead to grade inflation. - Grade inflation doesn't help students in the long run. It's demoralizing to get 99% in high school and fail your first calculus test b/c prerequisite knowledge isn't secure. - Some memorization is necessary in math. Math builds on itself and students need to be able to easily retrieve foundational knowledge. - The testing effect matters. More testing helps students retain information long term. - More low stakes testing also helps curb test anxiety. Dan thinks we need a national standardized test in Canada. I wholeheardedly agree.
