In all my years of watching football I have never seen VAR fast-forward a replay before

🚨 The Israeli occupation has deliberately assassinated Mohammed al-Wahidi, the Public Relations Director of the Egyptian Committee in Gaza, during the Egypt vs. Argentina match. #FIFA

Why would that matter lmao, there is a foul in buildup, he literally stepped on his foot while holding on his jersey for extra measures too, why was that ever gonna stand?

I think reversing this goal was fine if they did the same with the 3rd Argentina goal

I should not be saying this but FIFA let a man punch a ball with his hand into a net in 1986 and called it God. In 2026 Ziko cried about a referee and they called him embarrassing. God has a favourite country and everybody already knows which one it is.
What would happen if Africa got the same VAR decisions Argentina gets for just one tournament. One. Not forever. Just once. Would the world finally believe Ziko. Would FIFA finally have a different champion. Would football finally feel like a sport and not a script. We will never find out. And that is exactly what Ziko is crying about.

A clear foul 100/100 times, away from the ball, deserves a yellow

Even IF individual var decisions are correct and not tampered with (no independent access to data?) it is still a perfect tool for rigging of games or entire tournaments using SELECTIVE APPLICATION. all games have many things to nitpick at for both teams. Thats happening here.

so if a ball went to play for 10 minutes after a foul and went into a goal should be cancelled because it was a foul? I think VAR ruined football corruption

They went back in time to find that foul to disallow that goal

We really trust Fox commentators? They think a match has 4 quarters…

This is no longer "foul in the build up" there are several touches on the ball from the far end to the other, this is horrid

The foul is in the build up, it doesn’t matter the distance from goal, this Messi hate is forced now

Are you guys retarded? It doesn’t matter how “far away” it is. It directly started the buildup for egypts goal

If you actually watch football matches and not just edits this isn’t anything you haven’t seen before. Goals like this get disallowed all the time. You aren’t allowed to score a goal just because a ref missed a foul call. It will get disallowed.

The only reason Egypt get the ball and counter is because they fouled Lisandro, they should never have got the ball in the first place, the foul directly leads to the goal without a stoppage in between hence it can surely be checked and overturned

This is all considered the same passage of play because possession didn't change from Egypt back to Argentina

Disgraceful. There’s no other way to describe that decision. Robbed of a potential 3-0 victory against the champions and a shot at the quarterfinals

If that’s a foul then when pulisic tried to kick the ball yesterday but met the defender foot should be a foul too. USA was still a joke yesterday not my point, is the inconsistency and natural player movements. This one was called a foul other didn’t, and stepping happens a lot.

the commentator who completely misunderstands the rules? if the linesman was on that side, he would’ve blown for the foul. if that foul never happens, egypt never get to go on the counter the pass for the run leading to the goal happens not more than 2 seconds after the foul

The commentator is retarded. This was a clear as day, missed foul, that led to an immediate transition goal. This is exactly what VAR is for. Not 1 cm offside calls.

Can someone confirm if we can sue Infantino and @FIFAcom at the ICC because it is a human right violation at this point
