Ben Habib Chairman of the @GreatBritishPac | Former MEP for London | British Patriot

Britain needs a Prime Minister who does not give a damn what Brussels, the UN, the IMF or the left-wing media think. Close the borders. Deport illegal migrants. Cut welfare dependency. Put British interests first. Do it unapologetically. That is the leadership this country desperately needs.

Westminster has perfected the art of being simultaneously powerful and powerless. Politicians regulate every corner of our lives while surrendering the biggest levers of government to institutions nobody voted for. The state gets bigger. Democratic control gets smaller.

Immigration without integration is a recipe for fragmentation. If millions of people live in the same country but increasingly have different loyalties, different identities and no common national story, eventually you do not have a nation. You have competing tribes sharing a postcode.

Burnham wants to rejoin the EU. When he says that he is saying he has no confidence in the country being independent or in himself being Prime Minister. He thinks we are not worthy of being an independent nation. He would remove our borders, remove our right to self determination and reduce Parliament to being a regional council. Any PM who holds those views should be booted out of office.

Follow the money. Benefits spending has increased by £12.1 BILLION since the election. £8.8 BILLION of that increase went to Labour-held seats. The ten constituencies with the biggest increases are ALL represented by Labour MPs. Now ask yourself why Labour cannot bring itself to get welfare under control.

Who Dares Wins, Who Pays? £58m. Three and a half years. No findings. The inquiry into alleged SAS war crimes in Afghanistan has cost the taxpayer £58m, and has still not published a single conclusion. Meanwhile, the association representing more than 5,000 serving and former Special Forces personnel says it is ready to take the Government to court over Northern Ireland legacy legislation. Its president, Brigadier Ed Butler, warns that years of legal jeopardy are already putting soldiers off attempting SAS selection, and that the worst case is a "whittled-down special forces capability". SAS veterans have described the years of repeated investigations as a "witch hunt" against men who did what their country asked of them. Nobody is above the law. But accountability should mean follow the evidence, not leave a generation under permanent suspicion. Britain asks a few hundred people to accept risks the rest of us never will. The authorities keep telling us not to speculate. Well, then stop keeping us in the dark and gas lighting us. There has to be a damn good reason to release terrorist suspects while enquiries are continuing - no good reason has been offered. This stinks.

I am sick of being told that Britain controlling its own border is somehow beyond the pale. The boats should be intercepted at sea and turned around. End of.

On what planet would law enforcement release five suspected terrorists accused of plotting to bomb RAF Fairford back into the community? Under anti-terrorism legislation, police can seek to hold suspects for longer, up to 14 days with court approval. If inquiries are continuing, why were they released? Whether the alleged bomb parts were viable or not, it’s madness.

He guarded the leader of Hamas. Britain gave him asylum, then a BRITISH PASSPORT. Then, German prosecutors say, he was involved in an alleged plot to attack Jews in Europe. Pistols, a Kalashnikov and 600 rounds of ammunition, moved through Vienna. Timed for the second anniversary of October 7. And when his lawyers objected to him being named? A British judge granted him anonymity for 100 YEARS. It took a Sunday Times query to change that. Now Claire Bullivant, CEO of Great British PAC, is demanding answers: "Something has gone profoundly wrong when a man who reportedly served on the personal security detail of a senior Hamas leader can be granted asylum, go on to become a British citizen and then, according to German prosecutors, emerge as an alleged key figure in a terrorist plot targeting Jews in Europe." The Home Office, MI5 and MI6 all have questions to answer. Read the full investigation. Then ask yourself: how did this happen? greatbritishpac.com/news/bri…

“How do you bail a terrorist?” asks Trump. These men remain suspects. But I share his disbelief over RAF Fairford. If police have compelling reasons for releasing all five on bail, explain what can be explained. Expecting the public to swallow vague assurances is bloody arrogant.

People are free to call Danny whatever they want and I don’t care whether you like Danny Tommo or not. That’s NOT the point. We’re told he caused criminal damage to a boat. Fine. WHO OWNED THE BOAT? If the French say it was theirs, why aren’t THEY being arrested under Section 25 if it was being used to transport migrants into Britain? Because if that boat was being used to bring migrants across the Channel, who was actually responsible for putting them on it? Why is everyone talking about the damaged boat, but nobody is asking who was using it to transport migrants?
The political class can call Danny Tommo every name under the sun. I still want an answer to the question @sarahwhitetruth keeps asking: who owned the dinghy he is accused of damaging? Smears will not make that question disappear.

Starmer was in bad faith with his "one in one out" scheme for illegal migrants. The only way to stop illegal crossings of the Channel is to stop them - in the Channel. It is a rubbish excuse that the dinghies are too flimsy to be stopped. Stop them and send them back to France.

Yes, of course, the government has an exemplary track record in running assets. Except its record is to run them into the ground. A bit like your management of the economy.

Burnham might love to rid himself of 100 troublesome Labour backbenchers. The problem is that if he rolls the dice now, he risks getting rid of himself as well. He has a huge majority and years left in Downing Street. Why would he gamble all of that on an election that could leave him without a majority and without a job?
