If you’ve had repeated miscarriages and your OB-GYN won’t discuss whether progesterone is appropriate for you, fire him and seek a 2nd opinion. 400mg of progesterone to be exact.
I am very broken, my wife and I, as we have been trying to have a child for a while now and have been unable. Miscarriages are extremely difficult and nobody talks about them. They have waged war against our joy, and we don’t think we’ll ever have that joy we had with our first positive pregnancy test and the weeks of excitement we had. It’s sad knowing we’ll never have that again, since recurrent miscarriages have scarred us, leaving us on eggshells every time we have a positive test. As I scroll through X, and see post after post about "have more kids, this is what’s good", "we are having our fourth, sixth, tenth kid" with pictures of huge families, I can’t help but feel (even though it’s not intentional) a denigrating tone toward me. The concept the enemy is translating these posts into is: "you’re not being a proper Christian couple if you don’t have kids". There is a lot of shame, a lot of sadness, my wife and I feel less-than. Empathy on this topic is something I knew nothing about before going through this, and it’s completely lacking in our society. Anyway, yeah, I’ve been broken about this for a while, could use prayer, just been seeing a lot of posts and wanted to confess and express my brokenness.
