A Crucial Catch Story. Some of you are lucky enough to know the person I refer to as The Legend. We went to the @johnson80 HOF week because she is a real one. While we were there, she had a few physical symptoms after flying that didn't feel quite right. She listened to that little voice, came home, got checked Turns out she had colon cancer. WAT!!! She had a rough time recovering, but rang that bell and is now kicking ass Andre style. If you live long enough, keep your head on right, you will remember the big wins, helpers and the people, and less the nonsense and bad beats. Anyway, we always think of that as Andre Johnson's most Crucial Catch. And why I am now the Commissioner of Fun. I can't guarantee our fave teams win, but I can guarantee I'm gonna make our ride as fun as I can. She's gonna be at this game, our tailgate is gonna be CRUSHING IT PER USUAL. If you are a fun person, I hope to see you help make it more fun. She had to miss out on the Chargers playoff tailgate and game due to her illness, but our relatively tiny tailgate won Tailgater of the Game, and gave her the @HEB gift certificate because being sick is the negative cash flow lotto. If you seek fun and miracles, you are more likely to find them. 25 years. First game was a beautiful miracle in a lot of ways, best of Houston stuff.

ANOTHER CONEHEAD UPDATE The Conester tells me that with Legends reaching out the “door is open” for a return, but he plans to take one for the team. “I really want a Super Bowl win, and hope I have been part of the jinx” (that he explained in the story). nytimes.com/athletic/7645474…

The Dodgers aren’t just giving fans entering the stadium a bottled water and a rally towel but there are crates of water bottles around Dodger Stadium with employees giving water out to whoever asks for a bottle.
