In 100 years, America had lost over 5 million farms!!! We NEED to save our farms. We need more farmers more than ever.
Many farmers of multi-generational PA farms are trying to decide if their families’ futures look like this or selling out to developers of data centers or another multi-unit townhouse complex.

Four packing companies process most of America's beef so small ranchers started booking slaughterhouses that arrive on wheels Mobile processing units are fully inspected facilities built into trailers that come to the animal instead of the reverse. Ranchers skip the long haul and the stress on the herd and the wait for packing plants booked out for months. The units are one reason more small ranches can sell cuts directly to households. The system is stacked against the people who feed us… A Virginia farmer wrote a book called “Everything I Want to Do Is Illegal.” Every single chapter is a real law:

A 7000 acre Indiana farm dropped every chemical and got more profitable because the chemicals were eating the profit This is not a little homestead. It's a full scale grain operation the size the system says needs chemistry He cut synthetic inputs year after year and watched costs fall faster than yields The profit per acre went up as the spray bill went to zero The biggest secret in farming is that the inputs were the expense all along Find large scale clean grain farms near you on Localize

If this last week showed us anything, it's that consumers actually do care where their food comes from. Given the choice, they'll support the American rancher every time.

🚨 THIS IS HUGE NEWS FOR AMERICAN RANCHERS, WORKERS, AND FAMILIES! 🇺🇸 Just weeks after Tyson abruptly announced the closure of its Joslin, Illinois beef plant—affecting nearly 2,700 workers—an independent Iowa packing plant is preparing to fire back up. Daisy River is working to hire many of the skilled workers displaced by the Joslin closure, including people who dedicated 20, 30, and even 40 years of their lives to the beef industry. Now, the American Rancher Alliance is in the early stages of aligning with GridironBeef.com, launched through the partnership of Jason Birt, legendary Super Bowl–winning coach Jon Gruden, and Tom Zenner. Together, we are working to build something America desperately needs: an independent, American beef supply chain that supports American ranchers, independent packers, American workers, and American consumers. And right now, you can help support this movement while filling your freezer with American beef! 🥩 One-eighth, one-quarter, half, and whole beef shares 🥩 Just $8.99 per pound before shipping 🥩 Based on ACTUAL PACKAGED BEEF—not hanging weight 🥩 At least 64 pounds with a one-eighth share 🥩 At least 515 pounds with a whole share 🥩 Born, raised, and finished in the USA Go to GridironBeef.com and use code ARA at checkout! Every purchase helps support American ranchers, restart an independent Iowa packing plant, restore American jobs, and break the Big Four’s control over America’s beef supply chain. BUY AMERICAN BEEF. A Hawaii teen just found a fungus that eats the plastic and sunscreen chemicals polluting the ocean. Kaiser High senior Vera Wang built a coconut fiber filter to pull microplastics and sunscreen residue from seawater, then tested it in a University of Hawaii lab. She found fungi living naturally on coconut husks can biodegrade both pollutants, work that won top honors at the 2026 Hawaii Science Fair and a spot at the international fair in Phoenix. A Virginia farmer wrote a book called Everything I Want to Do Is Illegal and every single chapter is a real law He wanted to sell his neighbors chicken processed on his own farm and the rules said no He wanted to build small and simple and the codes were written for industrial scale So he wrote the book naming every rule that blocks a small farm from feeding its own community The most radical thing he ever did was describe the rulebook out loud Find farms fighting to feed their neighbors near you on Localize

Farmer Joel Salatin is sounding the alarm. Family farms are going bankrupt at record rates. And who’s buying up their farmland? “Bill Gates.” “BlackRock.” “Vanguard.” “They’re like vultures on a carcass.” “They’re picking.” “I just spoke at a great big conventional farm conference out in Iowa.” “Had 1,000 conventional corn and soybean farmers there.” “One of the other speakers was a guy who is a financial adviser to about 50 family offices.” “He admitted to the group, ‘I’ve never been on a farm in my life.’” But he revealed that all of a sudden, he has “all these family offices asking about investing in farmland.” “He said half of all billionaire families today have just been created in the last five years.” And all of that newly concentrated wealth is interested in buying up farmland. Market concentration is one of the most critical issues facing farmers today. With current trends, it’s only on track to get worse. But if we want to protect family farms from being overrun by corporate power, we must reverse it. @JoelSalatin @PalisadesRadio

A family run butcher shop in Provo raises its own cattle just outside town. They handle the entire process themselves, from breeding to butchering to serving it fresh. Their fryer runs on rendered beef tallow instead of seed oils, the same fat behind their crispy fries. Four generations of the same family have kept this farm to table model going. It is a rare full picture of where meat actually comes from. Support Ranch-to-table on Localize.
