3 amazing close-up views of Starship 14 hot staging.
I've flown Shuttle twice and Soyuz, and felt this happening. Spectacular to see, especially with Ship headed to orbit. @SpaceX
Leaving Earth is hard. Leaving your family behind us harder.
Before driving to the launch pad to fly to the @Space_Station; @csa_asc Astronaut, @Astro_Kutryk reached through the window for a final touch and goodbye to his pregnant wife.
Behind every grand leap into the cosmos, is an extraordinary sacrifice made right here at home.

Starship transiting the Sun this morning during Flight 14 — prior to this morning's mission, this has never been captured before with the world's largest and most powerful rocket.
I’ve ached over this shot for years, mainly for two reasons: what does methane exhaust look like silhouetted against the Sun, and how violent are the acoustic energy waves from 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster?
Well...now we have an answer.

Good luck tomorrow morning with the Starship launch!
First time to orbit - I'll bet all 22,000 employees at @SpaceX will have heads turned skyward.

Good morning, my beloved country! 🇨🇦
On this gorgeous early Fall day, I am grateful for all the people and selfless work, over the centuries, that have made Canada possible in this world.
Amazing moment in time - look closely.
An L-39 jet is crossing the Sun, but right next to its tail you can see the TIE fighter silhouette of the International Space Station, crossing way higher & faster.

Cool Sun Dog this morning.
Just the right angle between the Sun, the high cirrus cloud ice crystals, and me. Scientific name is a parhelion, 22 degrees to the side of the Sun.
A fine welcome to the first day of Autumn.
The edge of darkness on Mars. Austerely beautiful.
Taken from orbit near the south pole, you can see cliff faces, many meteorite crater scars, and lots of ice.
