Hard to pin down what Tibo's actually hinting at here his reply could point to GPT-6.1 Astra landing, or just GPT-6.1 Sol getting bumped to Ultrafast mode, especially given the tweet he was responding to. My money's on Ultrafast. Astra reportedly got pulled for safety reasons, and that's not something that resolves in a week. Either way, I'd take either outcome happily.

> One thing I wish Codex had: True agent-to-agent handoffs. Let one agent build → another review → another fix → another test → final agent ship it. No manual context passing. Just a fully autonomous coding pipeline.
What’s one thing that’s missing in codex that you wish we had?

🚨 CODEX USAGE FEELS DIFFERENT AFTER THE RESET. Something seems off with Astra High usage since the latest refresh. Before, my $200 plan could handle a full day of heavy multi-agent work while barely moving the meter. Now I’m running roughly the same Astra High workloads and I’m already down to 65% after just a few hours. Same model. Similar workload. Completely different burn rate. Did something change with Codex usage accounting after the reset?
🚨 GPT-6.1 SOL:QUICK REVIEW Solid model for the price and capable across most tasks. The catch: 3D work often needs multiple passes, and Opus 5.5 still feels stronger there. The real problem is speed around 20–30 TPS compared with 100+ TPS from Opus 5.5. For Codex, I’d pair Astra for planning with 6.1 Sol for implementation. Great model. Just needs to get MUCH faster.

🚨 GPT-6.1 SOL — MY TAKE SO FAR . Overall Very capable for the price Handles most everyday coding tasks without much trouble Has the core strengths of Astra, but still feels like a step below it 3D Work Can produce solid 3D results Usually takes 2–3 iterations to get there Opus 5.5 is noticeably stronger here, with Sonnet 5.5 also feeling more consistent The Biggest Problem: Speed 💀 I’m seeing roughly 20–30 tokens/sec Opus 5.5 can push 100+ TPS That gap makes Sol feel much slower than it should Best Codex Workflow Use Astra for architecture, schemas, and planning Hand the actual implementation over to 6.1 Sol The combination works extremely well If OpenAI can seriously improve Sol’s latency, this model could become a much more compelling everyday choice.

🚨 ANTIGRAVITY’S CLAUDE 5.5 LIMITS ARE ROUGH 💀 I tested Sonnet 5.5 on Medium reasoning and a 15-minute task burned through 32% of my entire weekly allowance. That’s a pretty massive chunk for a single run. The addition of Opus 5.5 + Sonnet 5.5 is definitely nice, but the weekly limits could use a serious bump. Great models, questionable limits.
🚨 ANTIGRAVITY JUST GOT A SERIOUS MODEL UPGRADE. Claude’s latest lineup is landing on the platform, with Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 now available to Pro and Ultra users. You can also choose how hard the models reason with Low, Medium, or High modes. Meanwhile, the older GPT-OSS 120B is being phased out of third-party access on November 2. The interesting part? Once that happens, Gemini 4 Argon could be the next major addition everyone is waiting for.

🚨 6.1 SOL JUST GOT A SERIOUS SPEED BOOST. Codex feels completely different after the slowdown fix. I ran the same kind of workload again and 6.1 Sol is now around 20% quicker than it was near DevDay. The intelligence was never really the problem latency was. Now that Sol is moving properly, the whole coding experience feels WAY more responsive.

🚨 CODEX USAGE JUST GOT WEIRD 💀 Before the reset, burning ~30% of my 5×100 took 24+ hours with multiple agents. Now? Same 6.1 Sol High, similar workload and I’m already at 74% after only a few hours. Something clearly feels different after this reset.

The Codex reset it now officially out.
🚨 CODEX RESET IS FINALLY HERE The waiting game is officially over. Codex usage has refreshed, the quota is back, and the limits are looking fresh again. Time to stop watching the counter and start shipping. What are you building first?

🚨 CODEX RESET STATUS: CHAOS 💀 Tibo is apparently still hunting for the reset button, so the usage refresh is taking its sweet time. Might as well make the remaining quota count. I’m throwing mine at 6.1 Ultra in Codex right now and seeing how far I can push it before everything resets. Anyone else trying to empty their limits?
🚨 CLAUDE FABLE 5.5 IS COMING? Fable 5.1 is reportedly being routed to a backend that looks like Fable 5.5. That could mean Anthropic is quietly testing the next checkpoint on real users before saying anything publicly. No announcement. No new model page. Just suspicious routing. Fable 5.5 may already be in the wild.

🚨 CODEX RESET UPDATE. ALMOST HERE We’re officially in the final hour before Codex usage refreshes globally at 10 AM PST. If you’ve been saving up capacity, don’t let it sit there unused. This is your last window to squeeze some extra work out of the current limit. One hour left. What are you spending the rest of your

🚨 FABLE 5.5 JUST APPEARED IN ANTHROPIC’S DOCS. A fable-5-5 URL was spotted, but currently returns 404. Could be a placeholder, accidental exposure, or a sign Fable 5.5 is already rolling out internally. Fable 5.5 might be closer than expected.

Global reset landing tomorrow 10am PST for all paid ChatGPT accounts. Apologies for the slow start with GPT-6.1 Sol, it's now back to running at expected speeds after the massive load spike in the first two days.

🚨 6.1 SOL’S SPEED PROBLEM MIGHT BE OVER 👀 The crazy part is that the model itself wasn’t necessarily the bottleneck. What happened: >6.1 Sol became OpenAI’s fastest-growing model >Huge demand caused serious slowdown >Sam says performance should now improve >The underlying model quality hasn’t been the issue And honestly: 6.1 Sol was already extremely strong for coding, reasoning, and agents. If OpenAI gets the latency under control, this thing could be an absolute beast.
Also, 6.1 Sol was our fastest-growing model ever, and was a bit slow under load. Should be much better now!

🚨 FABLE 5.1 MIGHT BE ROUTING TO A NEW CHECKPOINT. Something weird seems to be happening with Fable 5.1 again. > 5.1 is starting to behave like the newer 5.5 model Possible new checkpoint rolling out silently Routing may be changing behind the scenes Users could be getting different model behavior without realizing it If your Fable 5.1 suddenly feels different, check what model you’re actually being routed to. What are you getting on your account?

🚨 GROK 4.7 IS FINALLY HERE. That took WAY too long. 😭 Grok 4.7 is now rolling out across the Grok web and mobile apps, with access expanding across: > Fast Expert Build Heavy It’s now being used as the base model across the different modes. Daily AI Briefs are about to get a serious upgrade. Let’s see how it performs tomorrow.

🚨 TIBO SAID NO MORE CODEX RESETS… BUT 👀 Apparently, OpenAI is actually letting some users buy an instant reset after hitting their limits. I thought this was fake at first, but OpenAI’s docs confirm it’s real. «Plus + Pro users can be eligible Resets both 5-hour + weekly usage Option appears only for some accounts» Check yours — does the reset button show up for you?
Because usage on your primary dot is virtually unlimited at the moment, I can’t really give a reset. I need to come up with something new fast.

🚨 GEMINI 4 ARGON IS LOOKING REALLY PROMISING. From the testing I’ve seen so far, Argon looks especially strong when it comes to creative writing, ideas, and brainstorming. What stands out: >Creative tasks feel natural >Brainstorming looks seriously strong >Less technical users could get a lot out of it >It doesn’t necessarily need to top every benchmark to be useful My take: Argon could end up being one of those models people genuinely enjoy using every day.

🚨 GROK 4.8 IS STILL HIDING IN CURSOR . Something interesting is still showing up behind the scenes. The Model grok-4.8 is appearing as its own model family Cursor’s code can apparently distinguish it from earlier Grok versions That suggests this isn’t just a renamed Grok 4.7 entry The Interesting Part The backend already seems prepared to recognize Grok 4.8 It could mean xAI is testing the model with select partners A wider release may simply be waiting on the final rollout My Take This looks less like a random placeholder and more like Grok 4.8 is being prepared for something. How close is the launch?

🚨 GPT-6.1 SOL HAS A SERIOUS SPEED ISSUE. Speed 6.1 Sol xHigh → 20.7 tok/s 6 Sol xHigh → 53.8 tok/s 5.6 Sol xHigh → 46.7 tok/s 6 Sol Max → 51.7 tok/s The Good Coding feels significantly stronger Reasoning quality is seriously impressive Agentic tasks feel like a major upgrade The Problem Output is dramatically slower Same premium pricing Much less usable throughput Honestly, 6.1 Sol feels better than Opus 5.5 for me. Fix the speed and this model is going to be insane.
