Cornell Systems Engineering researchers Oliver Gao, Xinlai Liu & Yishuo Jiang are advancing urban sustainability with a new digital twin that models Manhattan’s air quality. 🌎💻
The framework could help cities identify emission hotspots and make smarter, data-driven decisions.
🌎 Cornell Systems Engineering faculty Tim Fraser and Haiyan Deng delivered the closing keynote at #NSPE2026, highlighting research on NYC congestion pricing and its impact on air quality.
👏 Their findings show a 22% reduction in daily maximum PM2.5 levels.
