What a world we live in where guys like Duren think 200m for playing basketball is being disrespected lmao
The Pistons are now open to listening to sign-and-trade offers on Jalen Duren as their relationship has completely fractured apart.
Duren feels disrespected, and those feelings have gotten worse in recent weeks.
The Bucks, Kings and Wizards all recently reached out to inquire.

Im still of the belief that Julian will continue to start and SHOULD continue to start.
That starting lineup was so good its hard to make an argument that Tobias is enough of an upgrade (especially at his age) where its worth it to change the starting lineup unless you see it struggle first 15 games or so.
I believe Tobias will come off the bench and still get plenty of minutes of course, but I don’t think he will start.

John is right: Fox >>> Garland
Trading for the worse player and attaching picks when they don’t have an issue.
The only issue is overreacting to a small sample size of games coming off an injury and in his first full year with a team.
Fully expect Fox to thrive after a full training camp. Does matter for this team. They don’t get to that Finals w/o him, whether your emotions allow you to believe it or not.

@bitcoinjack reading some concerning dev concessions on this new Clarity Act version. Hoping it’s not a rug pull on that front

What a story - I’ve never heard this before and it’s truly remarkable.
Russell Westbrook retired today with the most triple-doubles in NBA history. The name written on his wrist for all 18 seasons belongs to the kid UCLA actually wanted. That kid died at 16, and Westbrook spent two decades playing for both of them.
Westbrook was a 5'8", 140-pound freshman that no college recruited. The call UCLA's head coach made to his high school in 2004 was about Khelcey Barrs III, Westbrook's best friend from across the street in Hawthorne. A 6'6" phenom pulling scholarship offers as a sophomore. The two had a pact to play at UCLA together, then the NBA.
In May 2004, during a pickup game at LA Southwest College, Barrs collapsed on the court. An undiagnosed enlarged heart.
Westbrook walked across the street every morning after that to do his friend's chores at his grandmother's house. Then he grew 7 inches, averaged 25 a game as a junior, and took the UCLA offer they were supposed to accept together. From that point on he played like a man carrying two careers.
The numbers he put up look like typos.
209 triple-doubles is the most in NBA history, and it took breaking Oscar Robertson's record that stood for 47 years. In 2017 he averaged a triple-double across an entire season, something no human had done since 1962, then did it three more times. 27,176 points, 14th all time. 10,351 assists, 5th all time, behind only Stockton, CP3, Kidd, and LeBron. He did all of it at 6'3" in a league of giants, and outlasted the franchise that drafted him. Seattle picked him 4th in 2008 and stopped existing before he played a game.
And in every one of his 1,301 games, he wore two wristbands. One said KB3. The other said "Why not?"
People spent 18 years asking why he played every possession like the building was on fire. He was playing for two.

If those opposed actually care about reality they should read this. However, most of what I read from people who oppose the stadium DO NOT care about reality.
1/ I'm seeing a lot of discussion about Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones' proposal to put the City's Spurs arena contribution on the November ballot.
As your friendly neighborhood political consultant, here's my attempt to answer the biggest questions. 🧵

How lucky are spurs fans 🙌🏻
Dylan Harper on whether it matters if he’s a starter or coming off the bench next season:
“No, I feel like regardless, I'm in the NBA. There's only like 450 people in the NBA, and I get a chance to go on the court and play with the best of the best. I feel like those kinds of things and those logistics at the end of the day, in the big scheme of things, it's not going to affect me and how I approach every day.”

Lmao vs Okc and Knicks you mean?!!
Castle shot 26% from three in the last two rounds. Broke turnover records. Had 6 points and looked utterly lost in the last game of the year. He is younger and is talented but the things he does well, Amen does better. Neither of them is a respected shooter in the playoffs

Love seeing this from Fox. He’s been a quiet leader which is great. Want to see him really come into his own this season.
He definitely has sacrificed in terms of being unselfish and that’s key too but there’s room for more aggression imo.
Wemby, Fox and a few Spurs back in the gym together just a few months after their NBA Finals run 😤
