PGlite has hit **20 Million Downloads / Week!** Absolutely mind blowing the growth we are seeing 🤯🚀 We have a bunch of stuff planned, including Postgres v19 support soon after it's release later this month.

Come for Neon’s developer experience, stay for the architecture: Postgres on object storage. @neondatabase

Thanks @andrelandgraf for the chat. It’s pretty cool what we can do now we’re inside the database and working with @neondatabase’s storage system.
I’m very excited about this. Coming next to the Neon backend: realtime. Sync is incredibly hard to get right - especially if the goal is to make it great to work with, support as many database query use cases as possible, and scale well. Sync coming to Neon was probably obvious to many after our announcement that the Electric team is joining Databricks but we can finally announce it officially today! The Electric team is building sync for Neon. I asked @thruflo about joining Databricks and their first few weeks at the company: neon.com/blog/electrifying-n…

The @neondatabase team are all in London this week, and we're hosting a meet-up this evening. Come join us to talk about, anything dev/ai, all the new features of Neon, along with maybe a sneak peek of something new. luma.com/neoncom-0ce4

Neon is building out the primitives to be your backend platform. I’ve only been inside the tent for a few weeks but the people, engineering and product velocity I see around me is seriously impressive.
The Neon backend is GA. A complete set of primitives for apps and agents built around the database, with open standards, no lock-in, and branching-first by design. Starting with: Lakebase Postgres, Object Storage, Functions, Managed Better Auth, and AI Gateway. More to come.

This is unfortunate, but this is why we're making cloud storage, databases, etc all branchable and recoverable at @neondatabase and @databricks! Agentic development will need a new kind of cloud infra.
Bad news: Fable nuked my entire dev machine Claude decided to test a sandbox it was building by running `rm -rf` on my home directory The sandbox didn't work. It's all gone

New episode with @thruflo from @ElectricSQL on why agents are data not compute. We recorded this at Heavybit DevGuild in May - way before Electric announced their acquisition by Neon/DataBricks - congrats James and team!

Congrats @thruflo and the @ElectricSQL team on joining @databricks / @neondatabase today. You bet early that sync was a general primitive, and it turned out to be important not just for human collaboration but for agents too. Excited for this next part of your journey.⚡️

Welcome to Databricks and @neondatabase, @ElectricSQL!
Excited to share that we've acquired ElectricSQL, the team behind PGlite. Agents need super fast Postgres and this team built an amazing WASM (WebAssembly) implementation of postgres that runs in your browser, but can sync back with Postgres instances asynchronously. Exactly what blazing fast AI agents today need. Excited to supercharge our 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬 offering with these capabilities. databricks.com/blog/electric…

This is huge! @ElectricSQL is joining @neondatabase I learned firsthand at Materialize the surprising amount of complexity behind realtime. Electric team is very good.
PGlite + real-time sync have emerged as key primitives in an era where millions of apps are deployed by agents. We’re excited to announce @ElectricSQL is joining team Neon at Databricks to build the world's most advanced Postgres backend platform. neon.com/blog/electric-joins…
