Happy Leap Day to all our fans of Herpetology out there! 🐸
The beautiful painting here depicts a Glass Frog, belonging to the Centrolenidae family of Amphibians. These leaping mascots can be found in the rainforests of Central and South America, with particular affinities for the Amazonian habitats of Brazil, Venezuela, and Paraguay.
Glass frogs are unique for their transparent abdominal skin, which allows us to see their bones, internal organs like the heart, and even their eggs – hence the common name: Glass Frog.
We hope all our explorers take advantage of the extra day to leap into new adventures around the globe!
