I’m the only boy and the last born, and sometimes I honestly wish I had someone I could sit with, talk to, and pour out my struggles to without feeling like I’m carrying everything alone. I only have senior sisters, and as much as I love and appreciate them, sometimes that feeling of having a father or big brother to guide you just hits differently. Fuck… whoever can relate will understand. No dad, no brother, nobody to really share the weight with. But God has kept me this far, and I pray He continues to guide every decision I make, protect my path, and give me the strength to keep going. You guys know what I find funny? I’ve reached a point where I don’t even want to help anyone anymore, even when I have the means to. Not because I don’t care, but because I’ve learned that sometimes, the same people you sacrifice for will eventually make you feel like you never did anything for them. You can show up for someone a hundred times, stand by them when nobody else would, and give from what you have. But the moment you make one mistake, they forget every good thing you’ve ever done and hold that one mistake over your head like it defines you. People have a way of remembering your one wrong and forgetting your hundred rights. And honestly, that kind of thing changes you. It teaches you to stop overextending yourself, stop explaining, and stop expecting people to remember your heart when they’re angry. Sometimes, you don’t become cold because you stopped caring. You become quiet because you finally realized your kindness was never appreciated the way you thought it was. 💔
