"Wisconsin communities need investment not surveillance" Pass it on.
There will be no funding for Flock cameras in our community. Instead, I’m directing those dollars to support an eviction prevention initiative. Wisconsin communities need investment, not surveillance.

Throughout the course of the campaign, we saw how passionate people were about making things right in Wisconsin. It was never about just one candidate. It was about our neighbors, families, and future.

The last 11 months have been one of the greatest joys of my life. Traveling the state, meeting people in churches and dive bars and bike races and dance parties and in their homes, and hearing about what matters most to them informed every decision we made on the trail. It will continue to inform the work we do— and ask our supporters to do— moving forward.  This campaign was not about getting one person into office. It is about building a movement for permanent affordability and a government that puts working people first. Our movement is strong, and the work isn't done. I am overwhelmingly proud of our team and the work they have done to achieve that goal.  Congratulations to David Crowley and his team. I fully support him and look forward to working with him to defeat Congressman Tiffany in November.

Q: Were you prepared for the pushback you received, especially from Republicans, framing you as far too extreme for Wisconsin? FRANCESCA HONG: What's extreme is Rep. Tiffany has voted against the interests of Wisconsinites over and over again. What's extreme is that he's an election denier and continues to protect pedophiles.

This question made George yawn 🥱 Wisconsin is ready for government that puts working families first 💪
Q: What do you say to voters who fear that democratic socialism could turn into communism? FRANCESCA HONG: No. This is a state where we will still have a $2.33 tipped minimum wage and $7.25 minimum wage. It's gonna be hard to turn that into socialism soon, but what we can do is make sure we fight for policies that put working class people first

When people ask about my style of progressive politics, I always start with, the three Ps: fixing potholes, fully funding our public schools, and our community-owned Green Bay @packers 🧀
Francesca Hong: "Today is a day the Green Bay Packers were founded -- our publicly owned NFL team. I think that Wisconsin has a proud history of progressivism, and the policies we're fighting for honor that, but more importantly they honor working-class people."

The people of Wisconsin have spoken loud and clear: We need a moratorium on AI data centers to protect the future of our great state.
Q: If you're elected governor, what's the first thing you want to do? FRANCESCA HONG: We want to make sure we call a special session for the legislation on a moratorium on data centers

#WisconsinGovernor AP: Wisconsin voter Jesse Heer said Hong understands “what it’s like to live here and have to afford to live here.” Heer, a 32-year-old business owner from Madison, said Hong’s focus on affordability issues was the top reason he voted for her. And he’s not buying the argument from other Democrats, including Hong’s more moderate challenger, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, that she will have a harder time winning in the general election. “I think she’s a good candidate,” Heer said. “I think a lot of people agree.” Hong voter Kelly McClurg, 40, of Sun Prairie, says Hong has shown “she’ll be able to push back more” on issues that Democrats care about, like affordability. McClurg said if fellow Democrats believe in her, and don’t assume she can’t beat Republican Tom Tiffany, “she can win.”
#WisconsinGovernor AP: David Zimmerman, a 79-year-old retired industrial engineering professor, voted for Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. Zimmerman says he worries “a lot” about progressive candidate Francesca Hong’s ability to defeat Republican Tom Tiffany in November. “I think she’s going to have trouble winning,” Zimmerman said. But both Zimmerman and fellow Crowley voter Julie Martinson, 69, predict Democrats will come together even if Hong wins. They said they would vote for her in November. “There’s no reason we can’t galvanize around her and get her in there,” Martinson said. Link to article: apnews.com/live/election-pri…
