Meet Bhondu!
My muse gadget/gotchi
Had a couple of esp32 based devices lying around, decided to give Muse gadgets a shot! Amazing job
@Meta to open source it.
After a painstakingly long process of rewriting firmware to port over to these and hopping geographies via VPN* I got muse working on these (with claude)!
Devices in frame
> cgotchi esp32s3 (has battery)
> waveshare esp32s3 touch amoled 1.43c (no battery)
> iPhone 12 (region changed to US)*
Few notes -
- The SDK is available and has support for waveshare 1.75c, so needed a port for 1.43c
- * it says you need device SDK token to get started, I got it but it still needed me to sign in with app, maybe I missed something during the firmware port
- it does say you can add device token in the settings, so I definitely missed something
- can add TTS with
@ElevenLabs for muse to talk back, currently it's text only
- Visuals on amoled looks better (obviously) but overall I found some readability issues, UI can be tweaked
So far so good, I'll connect my tools to it and provide a review soon! Excited
