i had the pleasure of speaking to mrbeast's former chief of staff,
@TheShawnHendrix this week. he shared something with me that I'll never forget.
we were talking about motivation, goals, fulfillment, and what actually drives you. so i asked him when he found his main purpose.
he said he found his main purpose in just the last year.
that kind of scares me.
i believe he's in his 40s. i'm 20 right now. that could mean i never find my main purpose in life until the first half is completely done.
how do people have it figured out so early?
i've been talking with a coach i pay about push motivation and pull motivation as well.
push motivation is "i want to work hard and make money."
pull motivation is a purpose you are slowly going after. when things dip, it does not matter, because you are fulfilled by something bigger than the money.
i have been struggling to figure out what that is for me.
and a man who spent years working next to the biggest creator on youtube only found his in the last year.
there is no lesson here. mine may not come for another 20 years. that's interesting to me.
