I recently sent a friend of mine in the UK $100 worth of BTC, and his reaction honestly surprised me.
He was genuinely grateful and told me I was only the second person to send him money since he relocated to the UK.
That statement stayed with me.
Sometimes we assume that because someone has relocated abroad, everything is automatically rosy for them. Meanwhile, they could be struggling with bills, rent, food, or simply trying to find their feet.
Let’s normalize checking on and occasionally gifting our friends and loved ones abroad. Relocating doesn’t mean someone has stopped needing love and support.
Your little gesture might mean much more to them than you realize.
