گفتگوی تلفنی وزرای امور خارجه جمهوری اسلامی ایران و ژاپن‌ سید عباس عراقچی وزیر امور خارجه جمهوری اسلامی ایران و توشیمیتسو موتگی وزیر امور خارجه ژاپن، در تماس تلفنی، درباره آخرین تحولات منطقه در پرتوی تداوم تجاوز نظامی آمریکا و رژیم صهیونیستی و آثار و پیامدهای منطقه‌ای و حهانی آن گفتگو کردند. وزیر امور خارجه کشورمان با ارائه ارزیابی از آخرین تحولات تاکید کرد که جمهوری اسلامی ایران با عزم راسخ به دفاع قدرتمندانه در برابر تجاوز نظامی آمریکا و رژیم صهیونیستی ادامه خواهد داد، اما در مقابل ضرورت دارد جامعه بین‌المللی با مسئولیت‌پذیری، نقض فاحش حقوق بین‌الملل و منشور ملل متحد توسط متجاوزین را محکوم کرده و آنها را به خاطر قانون‌شکنی و جنایاتشان پاسخگو کند. وزیر خارجه کشورمان اقدامات دفاعی ایران علیه پایگاه‌ها و امکانات متجاوزان در منطقه که منشاء حملات علیه ملت ایران هستند را منطبق با حق دفاع مشروع ایران دانست و تاکید کرد این اقدامات به هیچ وجه نباید به منزله حمله ایران به این کشورها تلقی شود. عراقچی وضعیت موجود در تنگه هرمز را نتیجه جنگ تحمیلی آمریکا و رژیم صهیونیستی بر منطقه دانست و خاطرنشان کرد که آمریکا باید نه تنها به دلیل این جنگ تحمیلی و جنایات جنگی ارتکابی بلکه همچنین به‌خاطر پیامدهای اقتصادی ناشی از ناامنی در منطقه خلیج فارس مواخذه و پاسخگو شود. عراقچی همچنین با اشاره به تحرکات شرورانه آمریکا برای کشاندن دیگران به جنگ به بهانه کمک به بازگشایی تنگه هرمز، تصریح کرد هرگونه مشارکت در تجاوز نظامی آمریکا-رژیم صهیونیستی به منزله همدستی در تجاوز و جنایات شنیع ارتکابی متجاوزان خواهد بود. وزیر امور خارجه ژاپن ضمن تشریح دیدگاه‌های این کشور در قبال آثار و پیامدهای تجاوز نظامی آمریکا و اسرائیل بر منطقه، بر ضروت کاهش تنش‌ها از طریق مساعی دیپلماتیک تأکید کرد. وزرای امور خارجه ایران و ژاپن بر تداوم تماس‌ها و رایزنی‌ها تأکید کردند.
