Every Stride. Every Age. One Spirit.
The Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2026 witnessed a spirited culmination across seven cities — New Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Gwalior and Thiruvananthapuram — bringing together thousands in a celebration of fitness, valour and national pride.
In New Delhi alone, 15,000 runners participated across the 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km categories. CAS Air Chief Marshal AP Singh ran the 21 km, while CNS Admiral Krishna Swaminathan participated in the 10 km, inspiring Air Warriors, Armed Forces personnel and citizens alike.
The marathon brought together an extraordinary spectrum of participants — a 94-year-old runner completing the 10 km, a nine-year-old completing the Half Marathon, and runners with prosthetic limbs taking on the challenge alongside serving personnel, veterans, men, women and children.
RJ Rannvijay Singha flagged off the Delhi edition and energised participants with his presence and interaction.
More than a run, the event was a tribute to Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, PVC, whose courage and supreme sacrifice continue to inspire generations.
From nine to 94. From prosthetic limbs to Air Warriors. Every stride carried a story. Every stride saluted a hero.
