Imagine being a kid right now getting access to this stuff. You're playing a game online with your friends and literally anything you type into the chat changes the game, the rules, the content, anything. Insanely cool stuff going on here. Hard to imagine where this leads
we just pulled off the first test of something no one's ever done: 30 people building a game world together, live, while playing in it. the next one is this weekend, and it’s going to be even crazier. comment if you want an invite!!

I posted about this earlier today, but after spending an hour in @spawn just now, I'm blown away It's crude and sophisticated and wonderful and bizarre and amazing, this sort of thing is the future media and entertainment it feels like the tip of an infinite iceberg

you can absolutely do safety from second place, or even not on the scoreboard. academics, startups, and nonprofits are doing great ai safety research on open models

We’re going to fix this but it’s a bit funny as your dot literally has to decide whether to pick up or not and sometimes it might just be busy with something else 👀

I think this kind of attitude leads to an AI race and is very dangerous for safety. With this attitude, a company (similar at the nation level) that is behind feels justified to do anything to get to the top. You absolutely can and should do safety even if you are behind.

We are opening up our platform and you can now build full native apps with plugin extensions, and ship them right in ChatGPT. We have over 1.2B weekly users and will surface relevant plugins right in the conversations.

fun fact - you can ask your dot to draw you! loved jamming with @rissakeichua, ben and the browser crew on a few apps we preinstalled to make computer use feel magical. can you find the others? here’s dot’s take on rissa, @supercgeek and me, live from dev day!
Introducing dots, powered by GPT-6 Astra. Remarkably capable, always-on agents built to handle everything.

I think this is why my brain works well at OAI
I feel like everybody at this company has adhd, but like, is good at it. they've read the right books and gotten their systems in place and they show up to win. it's still kind of wild to experience it at scale

Insane
I asked Opus 5.5 to explain camera focus by building an interactive lens lab Here's what it came up with after 1 hour 26 minutes in one shot, $25.66 API cost lens.lab.sael.net Move the focus ring and you can see the glass elements shift the sharp plane through the scene

I think 99% of design is just about commitment to the bit. Like if your brand is kinda weird just lean in and own it. It’s the wishy washy middle managers that eventually cause the downfall of a brand. Conviction is everything.
