As a Gen Xer, this was one of my favorite songs. A working man who could work with his hands, a beautiful girl looking back, and a song that made distance feel close enough to reach. 😉♥️🔥 Which ’80s song brings you back to that feeling? ♥️
Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl” might have one of the best real-life stories behind an 80s music video. It was 1983. Billy Joel was playing a working-class mechanic chasing the beautiful uptown girl, played by supermodel Christie Brinkley. The chemistry wasn’t just for the camera. Billy and Christie were already dating when they made the video, and Joel later said that as their relationship developed, she became the “Uptown Girl” he was singing about. Two years later, they were married. The marriage eventually ended in 1994, but that video is still a perfect little time capsule of the 80s. Billy Joel, Christie Brinkley, the dancing mechanics and a song you recognize within the first few seconds. Who else remembers when “Uptown Girl” was everywhere?

Being able to do basic repairs has saved my marriage more than once. We'll be married 40 years, not too far in the future.

I had a friend growing up who had chinchillas. They were two of the coolest animals I’ve seen as pets. These two just really want a good home and I really hope they find one.

I am not sure who come up with this idea, but it is kind of an interesting way to find out how tall you are. For me, I think I will skip the math and stick to a wall, pencil and tape measure. If you have tried this let me know if it works.

And when the police - who are supposed to be the symbol of order have to flee, it sends a message to the whole world: the state has lost control of its own streets. France always likes to say "we know how to protest." But this isn't a protest. This is chaos. And it was preventable. If you can't protect your schools, if your police can't hold the line at a high school, how do you hold the country together 6 months before a presidential election? France needs to wake up, fast.
France in total chaos: police flee.

This clip will BREAK the internet for a reason 🙌 @hayleycaronia asks former Democrat operative @evanwch who RAISED $50 MILLION for Democrats if she regrets voting for Trump... And her answer is PERFECT. No regret. Not even a little. Because Evan lived it. She was inside the machine. She saw what the Democratic Party has become behind closed doors obsessed with far-left social justice issues that normal working people absolutely hate, completely disconnected from the middle of the country, and run by activists who think you are evil if you disagree. She even wrote a book about it called "Nothing Left" about how even her own therapist tried to shame her for questioning the party. Imagine that. You go for anxiety help and they tell you "it's crucial for society that Trump doesn't win." That tells you everything. This is why the Democrats are losing working-class voters in waves. People like Evan aren't "MAGA extremists" - they were true-blue Democrats who woke up and realized the party left THEM. They left common sense, they left workers, they left America. And her former liberal friends are going absolutely INSANE over it because she proves their worst fear that you can leave the cult, vote Trump, and actually feel FREE. No regret. No going back.

This is heartbreaking 💔. No kids should ever have to deal with this, and use death as the escape. Hold the other kid(s) and parents liable, make the punishment HARSH. 🙏
💔 17 YEARS OLD. This is absolutely heartbreaking. Xavier Nungaray, a senior at Benjamin Franklin High School in Los Angeles, died after falling from a fourth-floor walkway at school. Video taken shortly beforehand shows another student punching Xavier and knocking him to the classroom floor. Xavier gets back up and runs out of the room, with the other student following behind him. Moments later, Xavier went over the railing. His family says Xavier had been bullied during high school and was afraid to report it because he feared he would end up being punished. We cannot know exactly what Xavier was thinking in those final seconds. But after watching that video, I can't help wondering whether this terrified 17-year-old was simply trying to get away because he believed he was about to be hit again. As of the latest reports, the student who punched Xavier has not been publicly reported as arrested or charged. LAPD is still investigating. Xavier's family described him as a “beautiful, caring and loving boy.” Seventeen years old. He should have been worrying about graduation — not running from someone at school. Absolutely devastating. 💔

This is a lot stranger than “Messi gets his own cartoon.” Messi and the Giants isn’t actually a biography of young Lionel Messi. It follows Leo, a 12-year-old boy inspired by him who gets trapped in another reality ruled by giants and has to fight his way home through soccer-like battles using magical orbs. Messi himself is an executive producer, and the whole idea is built around the things that defined his career: skill, teamwork and being the undersized guy nobody should underestimate. So basically somebody took Messi’s story, mixed it with fantasy boss battles and turned soccer into an RPG. I’m curious enough to watch that.
First trailer for the ‘MESSI’ animated series. The series follows young Lionel Messi as he must lead a fight against villains who have kept the 10 realms under their control. Releasing in 2027 on Disney+
