I never really understood white folk’s obsession with “saving family” despite adultery. Like isn’t the divorce rate extremely high anyways? People get divorced literally for not liking the same movies but must endure and power through in case of adultery for some reason.
So it turns out it's better for weed to be illegal, but the state mostly doesn't care if you get high, unless there's a problem It's better for monogamy to be socially normed and couples to allow small, short affairs if they don't tear families apart What else is like this

Outcomes for children are a lot better in non divorced households.

No state solution. Believing in divine right to land should be disqualifying, need a dispassionate third party to run it

If you still think in October of 2026 that Gazans should fight back you’re a brain dead larper

International pressure? Israel wouldn't exist without global superpowers do you think only Israel wants Palestinians dead? Do you think countries base their politics off of what's the heckin moral good guy thing to do? They want control and Israel is their pawn to do so

Israel hasn’t been a US puppet state for decades now. They are a very rich nation on their own

He was also in unbelievable amounts of debt, wasn’t really able to tour, couldn’t make good music anymore, and he was just weird. The estate could do what it wanted as soon as he died pretty much. And they have been very very successful.

Have seen a bunch of people marvel at How Much Concert Tickets Cost These Days but per @JosephPolitano it seems to be largely the mirror image of how much cheaper it’s become to listen to recorded music. apricitas.io/p/ai-and-the-fa…

I have done both and view them pretty closely, primarily bc my job until mid 2025 was green. Living on any other line though… nonstarter.
I didn’t realize how spoiled I was living on the red line until I started living on the GY. taking a lot more buses and bikes these days…

I also mostly e-bike until it’s very cold. Flying downhill at 20mph listening to music is unrivaled. Better than windows down, music blaring

The concept sounds solid enough but the ones by me have meh reviews and it doesn’t seem like just haters
I know everyone hates on it but I kinda like Wonder The PE money means there’s constant promotions making it super cheap, and the food is like totally decent. It’s just an honest ghost kitchen

To barely control the senate with 51 seats, we need to win Trump +13% states. To be able to have 60 votes we need to win +23% Trump states. To get 60, republicans need to win Harris +6% states. This discrepancy does not get discussed enough.
Anyone else upset that Democrats need almost an unheard of 10 point generic ballot to control 52% of the House seats? It’s curious this has left the public discourse. Gerrymandering must be on the Dem docket fast.

Which is why next time Dems take the senate they need to combine the dakotas and make PR and DC states

This is also why it’s emotionally satisfying but not rational when people say “well look what republicans can message and get away with.” They have it fucking easy as hell. They can win the senate insulting big cities because the biggest city in, say, New Mexico is Albuquerque.

People often criticize the Democratic party (I do too ) but man, it’s an unfair game. They have to deal with the structural biases in all 3 chambers + the cultural ones too. The median voter in essential swing states are absolute morons.

Most issues further left people have with the Dems just flows from the fact that it’s structurally fucked and we can’t govern remotely close to what the median Democrat would want to see implemented barring a miracle

Republicans have it laughably easy and Democrats overall political prowess is underrated. This discrepancy is flattened by the public and the media—who look purely at Ws and Ls—and it makes Dems seem more incompetent than they are.
