Thank you James for all your support - it’s always a pleasure to support you and your brilliant YCs in Croydon. That’s what the YC family does, and I look forward to keep doing that over the next year!

As we approach #CPC2026 the YC election seems front and centre of many people’s thoughts. I’ve been impressed by @ReissCordreyUK and @KevinGhateh positive campaign! I’ve known both of them for a great deal of time. Both of them are putting YC’s first, making their campaigns about what they can deliver for others. Either will make a fine chair.

Young Conservatives are stepping up. I want to make sure we keep giving them a voice. Over the past year, we’ve seen more young Conservatives stand for election, get elected and make a difference in their communities. That’s exactly what I want to keep building. More opportunities. More young councillors. More voices being heard. #keepkevin

Hi Amrita, I am glad to see you are open to hearing from all the candidates. To answer your question I am happy to list just some of the the work I have done around elections and getting more YCs involved: 1. In my local YC branch in Barnet we had 15 Young Conservative candidates stand for election which was more than any other council up for election. 2. I have always pushed young people to stand for election like when I chaired the zoom call with yourself and some other wonderful YC councillors which gave the opportunity to members to hear from your experiences and ask questions about how they can get involved. 3. I have stood for election myself 3 times and worked on several campaigns including in Barnet in the 2026 local elections where we won the popular vote and gained 9 seats off Labour, and one off Reform.

I’m supporting @KevinGhateh in his campaign for National YC Chairman. Kevin was an instrumental part of my 2025 election campaign and I know he’ll do a fantastic job as Chairman

Before anyone even thinks about running for YC national chair, they should be able to express why they are a Conservative in the first place - a return to first principles. That’s why I loved this audience question at my launch so much. The value of rewarding hard work is so important, and one we should absolutely continue to fight for as an organisation. #keepkevin

Thank you Amaar. We’ve spent the last year proving that Young Conservatives can be capable of great things when we actually think bigger. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together so far, and excited to keep pushing forward and continue building!

Kevin Ghateh has been an exceptional interim YC Chairman. His work renewing the Young Conservatives and building YC into a functional nationwide institution has been remarkable. I’ve seen the difference his leadership has made, and I wholeheartedly endorse Kevin for YC Chairman.

Over the past year I’ve made it a priority to get out across the country. I have worked with members to launch new branches, support existing ones and make sure young Conservatives across the country feel involved. Below are just a few examples of that work in the South West, Leeds, Birmingham and Cambridgeshire. I believe that there is so much more that we can do. This time if I am elected by the members I will have the mandate to take that work even further and build a Young Conservatives that truly works for everyone right across the country.

Great turnout last night as Kevin launched his campaign to stay on as National Chair of the Young Conservatives. YCs from across the country showed up, bounced ideas around, and he actually listened. He’s shaping what comes next around what members told him directly. In a year as interim chair he’s taken the YCs from almost nothing to a proper national movement. With your support, we can continue building the Young Conservatives, together, ensuring it becomes even more successful than it already has, and that we can spread the important message of Conservatism to our peers.
