They're in a cold sweat over Muse and absolutely see a threat of being disintermediated.
This will become a lobbying fight.
Framing Meta is attacking the safety and soundness of banking.
I've heard the word Libra more than once.
If the banks can whip up a sovereignty frenzy (which seems very possible in Europe), expect massive pain for Meta.
Current US regulators seek more sympathetic to innovators.
So let's see.
