Manchester City Breaking rules. It has taken the authorities over years to conclude that Manchester city are GUILTY of breaking rules. However the authorities have NOT imposed the punishment. When Spurs were found guilty of breaking rules the punishment was imposed immediately. 12 point deduction, a ban from the FA Cup and a £600,000 fine. My point being is that Man city have not had any punishments imposed and are free to carry on playing. In the case of Spurs and Everton the points were immediately deducted in the appropriate season. Its simple. The rules are you are guilty and here is the punishment. The punishment should be implemented immediately . The process of appeal can then follow.

If I recall , on the eve of the Brexit vote Nigel Farage conceded he lost based on the voting so far. It was the North East of England that tipped the scales after the full count was in the morning . The irony being that in Sunderland Nissan set up a plant years prior to be able to supply the EU market without tariffs . Not only did they set up a plant there was a nucleus of suppliers who set up also to support them with components. By leaving the EU it now means that cars produced in Sunderland attract tariffs when exported to the the EU. How brilliant was that, talk about shoot yourself in the foot.
Are you happy what you got then ?

That’s rather insulting @Lord_Sugar We knew what we were voting for, the problem was elite businessman& parliamentarians with unbelievable arrogance thought we didn’t understand & couldn’t conceive that well over 17million of us would vote to leave the EU.

I am often asked what my priority would be if I was the prime minister. 1. Build 5 large modern day prisons. 2. While the prisons are under construction I would recruit 10,000 police and place them through a detailed training program to make their jobs recognised professionals. 3. While the prisons are being built.Recruit prison officers and make and pay them into respected professionals. 4. I would find the money by cutting back on military expenditure. In fact I would offer soldiers to apply for police or prison officer jobs. 5. My understanding of asylum seekers is that if they are trying to leave an oppressed county where they are in danger, they are supposed to go to nearest safe county. The people arriving on the shores of the UK have passed through plenty of safe countries. I would ask the Royal Navy to stop them arriving. Comments please . No jokers thanks Lord Sugar

Agreed the word trashing is wrong . I should have said cut back.
Replying to @Lord_Sugar
Trashing military expenditure seems a little strange in the current climate, no?

simple fact checking .. i.e. we built 5000 homes when in fact they built 250

I agree it's absolutely wrong...The problem you have then is that you're saying "Lying is against the law" which opens the can of worms of "Who decides what's a lie?"

I believe electioneering by politicians should be audited. I see members of the public as UK share holders. They should not be promised things that are not possible. As a past chairman of 3 public companies. I was duty bound in my annual and bi annual reports to have my statements to my shareholders authenticated by the auditors. In other words I was not misleading any one. As an example Johnson and Gove hired a red bus and claimed the UK paid £ 350 m a week to the EU. There is no other way to describe this as a blatant lie. Gove was quoted as saying that we can use that money to support the NHS... another lie. The truth was that when you took into account how much the EU paid to the UK the net figure was more like £150 m. The government should appoint large firms of auditors to fact check the words of politicians. The football fraternity suffers with the same problem e.g. Spurs spent £314 m in the transfer window, but they sold £140 m so the net spend was £173 m

My personal opinion is that the general voting public saw this as a vote against the then Conservative government and completely missed the point that It was not a general election but a decision to leave the EU.
BREXIT : I would like to ask a cross section of the public some simple questions. 1. Do you feel you was mislead to by Johnson and Gove about the benefits of Brexit . 2. Should we have left the EU. 3. Have you seen any benefit being out the EU. 4. Have you or your business suffered in anway . 5. Would you like to rejoin the EU Please give honest answers and no jokers please Lord Sugar
