Super-happy with my collaboration with the great @ProtzerEric and the @MaxBellSchool at @mcgillu and with the opportunity to work on a path forward for Canada, given the rupture with the US.
Is the economic rupture with the United States a crisis, or an opportunity for Canadian growth?
In the 2026 McGill Max Bell Lectures, @ricardo_hausman and @ProtzerEric of the @HarvardGrwthLab explore practical strategies for Canadian prosperity in a radically changed world.

We are pleased to share a new initiative as Canada, and the United States mark 100 years of formal diplomatic relations. The Commission for the Second Century of Canada–U.S. Relations brings together senior leaders and policy experts to develop a long-term, forward-looking, strategic agenda for bilateral cooperation at a time of heightened economic uncertainty, geopolitical tension and shifting trade dynamics. The Second Century Commission will look beyond current bilateral tensions to focus on long-term cooperation.

Last year at @MaxBellSchool, my team and I proposed a Youth Employment Supplement. Today it’s in Policy Options thanks to @SocialCP. Half of young renters spend 50%+ of income on rent. Doubling the CWB for workers under 30 could reach 2M young Canadians.
