Network recovery, the upcoming version update, and Aztec.
Here’s what you need to know:
🔹 The network recovery methodology has been optimized. It follows the same mechanism as NR1, but with greater precision, leaving pools fully balanced at unpause and reducing value lost to arbitrage.
🔹 The updated recovery estimates ~$11–12M in TVL and ~$11M in $CACAO market cap, before additional contributions from the Maya team, arbitrageurs, and rebalanced assets.
🔹 The recovery changes are already implemented in code for node review. If everything goes as planned, the new version is expected to go live around midweek.
🔹 Aztec is moving toward its first mainnet candidate, with launch chains being selected and the latest NEAR codebase being integrated with Aztec’s own changes.
🔹 Work is also underway on the Maya → Aztec $CACAO bridge and bringing Cosmos-Wasm contracts over to Aztec.

🔹 Network Recovery Proposal #1 is live
NR1 outlines our plan to restore the network, resume trading and bring the excess cacao:native supply back toward its original level, while balancing the recovery between LPs and cacao:native holders.
You can find it in the Announcements channel on Discord. Your input will help shape the store migration proposal and the next steps.
🔹 We’ve patched the identified attack vectors and additional security updates. Testing is now underway, and if everything goes well, we’re targeting early next week to bring the network back online.
🔹 Nearly every arbitrageur we contacted has committed to returning part or all of the profits made during the attack.
🔹 We’ve raised around $100K for Aztec in two weeks. Affiliate testing for Aztec Intents is expected to begin this week, with mainnet still a few weeks away.
🔹 We plan to distribute the remaining Maya Masks allocation directly on Maya Chain in MAYA and AZTEC.
