The recent surge in AI made Mods and Recomps is actually crazy and scary for gaming space... So many "projects" that will just get abandoned almost, if not, instantly, and have no community behind them. Not to say a lot of Human made stuff doesn't have this happen but, this is beginning to feel like a digital internet graveyard~ The thing I love so much about the slow progress of Decomps is that it builds a community behind it, once it's done or close to, everyone gets excited for the next new thing for that old game we loved. Not to mention, the people behind the decomp process, Twilight Princess, Zelda 64 and Wind Waker for example, speedrunners, glitch hunters, researchers and just passionate fans make these projects what they are~ None of this recent stuff has that same vibe, nor do I think it ever will, at least, in its current state~ That's just my silly 2cents ~
