The night’s watch: Aurora through the eye of the Dragon. This timelapse had the same setup as the last post from SpaceX Dragon’s starboard windowβ€”with one differenceβ€”the aurora is absolutely wild and on fire. Each 90 minute cycle at night has looked like this and KP index has been 4-5.

.@POTUS: I recently announced we will be establishing a brand new U.S. National SPACE ACADEMY. Every other state wants it, but I have no doubt that β€” as the birthplace of aviation and home of the Wright Brothers β€” if we win, Ohio will be under STRONG consideration.

Congratulations to the @NASA workforce and our partner @SpaceX on another successful crewed launch to the International Space Station. Crew-13 is now aboard the station, Crew-12 will be home soon, and 2026 is far from over. Still ahead: more science missions, more flyovers, the MAX POWER exposition, cargo resupply, a possible Starliner-1 demonstration mission to the ISS, Artemis III rollout and tanking tests, and the first Moon Base launch before the year ends. We will never stop going. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Milt Windler was one of the great pioneers who showed the world what NASA is capable of during both the best and most challenging of days. As a Maroon Flight Director, he helped guide Apollo 8 around the Moon, played a critical role in bringing Apollo 13 safely home, and carried that same commitment through Skylab and beyond. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of working alongside him. His generation set the bar incredibly high. It is our responsibility to pick up and continue where they left off.

We are in the midst of a great power competition. That is exactly why @POTUS has aligned government and industry to secure American leadership in Super Intelligence and across our most critical domains, from under the sea to space. America will win the Second Space Race. Artemis III will launch in 2027, and Artemis IV will return American astronauts to the lunar surface in 2028. When they arrive, the foundations of a Moon Base and rovers will be waiting for them.
