Banning alimony is not the solution. Alimony and maintenance should be given to the person who actually needs it. How much they need, their responsibilities, the income of both sides, how long the marriage lasted and what caused the divorce should all be considered before deciding the amount. A man should not be forced to carry an unfair financial burden either. But we also cannot ignore that even today, divorced women often face less acceptance in society. So don’t completely ban alimony. Regulate it properly. Give support where it is genuinely needed, but make sure the system does not become an unfair burden on the other person.

Sambhav Jain told his father he wanted to repay all his debts first. Then he died by suicide from a Noida high rise. Financial pressure can destroy a person silently. When marriage breaks, medical bills pile up and debt keeps growing, the salary of a software engineer does not automatically mean life is financially secure. We need a serious conversation about divorce related financial pressure, medical debt and how quickly a middle class family can fall into a hole. Money problems are not small problems, and pretending everything is fine until someone breaks is a failure of the system around them. Our society is very quick to say earn more, take a loan, pay the bills, settle the divorce and move on. But nobody asks what happens when all these pressures hit one person at the same time.

Another morning, another food safety question in India. FSSAI has declared a Nestle Low Fat Dairy Whitener sample collected from The Lalit in Delhi as unsafe and substandard and ordered its sale to be stopped. Nestle says the product is safe and the issue is about naturally occurring phosphorus. But the bigger issue is the consumer. We buy packaged food believing that big brands and government checks mean basic safety is already taken care of. Then such cases keep coming up. Just last month, FSSAI also found a Nestle infant formula sample substandard for biotin and started legal action. India needs food safety enforcement that is fast, transparent and consistent. Big brand or small shop should make no difference. If a product is unsafe, tell people exactly why, stop it quickly and fix accountability.

For years we told our kids to study hard, get into IT and fly to America. But the rules can change the moment American politics changes. Today it is H-1B, tomorrow it can be something else. JD Vance is now openly saying the H-1B programme is broken and he would support eliminating it. Nothing wrong in going abroad. But stop building your whole life around the USA dream. India needs to create an economy where a talented Indian does not feel that success means leaving India.

We use water so carelessly. We take showers, use buckets of water, enjoy hot or cold water, and never really think about how much we are wasting. But this is the reality of life in many remote villages. People still struggle for water. They collect it, save it carefully, and use every drop wisely. We have water whenever we want. They have to save every drop just to get through the day. SAVE WATER.

What a lovely view. This road keeps me motivated to go to the village every single day. I’ve fallen in love with the fresh air, peaceful weather, and the distance from city noise. Day by day, I am enjoying this journey more and more.

Drishyam is back, but sadly, nothing here feels too impressive. It’s basically the same old formula stretched into a 2.5 hour drama. Disappointed. Bollywood seems to believe that if the first film worked, the same series will work again. And honestly, they may be right. The first film’s reputation will bring people to theatres, and the movie will earn well. But it is not a theatre worthy experience. Wait for OTT. Not worth spending ₹350 on this one.

Scam after scam. ₹1,417 crore collected from nearly 36,000 investors. The ED says the money was routed through 100+ bank accounts, while ₹390 crore was shown as salary expenses despite the company having just 4 employees. What worries me more is how these schemes keep finding thousands of ordinary people willing to trust them. We keep talking about arrests after the damage is done. The bigger question is how such operations manage to run for so long before anyone stops them. People lose their life savings, a few arrests make headlines, and then the next scam appears. This will keep happening until we give them strict punishment.

I just came to know that some private schools are charging students a fee to take part in the annual function and perform on stage. This is completely unfair and can stop students from poor families from performing on stage. What about students admitted under RTE? Only students from financially strong families should not get the chance to perform. If it is a school function, why should students pay just to participate? It does not matter whether the school is charging for costumes, props or anything else. If the function is organised by the school, the school should bear all the costs, not the students. @Rivaba4BJP, how is this even allowed? A school function should not become a paid platform where only students from financially strong families get a chance to perform.

4 quick commerce dark stores' FSSAI licences suspended in Hyderabad. Violation found: - Expired food - Rotten and fungus affected vegetables - Cockroaches - Poor storage - Rusted racks - Improper cold room temperatures And these were just 16 stores inspected. There are many more stores operating like this, full of violations, but sadly nobody is checking them regularly. Hello FSSAI and FDA, wake up and do your work. Do surprise inspections, else leave your jobs.

A foreign woman comes to India, and instead of making her feel welcome, some men surround her and make obscene comments like “Ek shot ka kitna legi”. She said she thought they were simply asking for selfies. India tells the world “Padharo Mhare Desh”. But hospitality means nothing if a woman has to worry about being harassed on the streets. Tourism is not just forts, food and Instagram reels. It is also about how safe and respected a visitor feels. Rajasthan Police arrested 4 men. Good. But the bigger issue is the mindset that makes some men think every woman is available to do all this.

Captain Smit Machchhar is a hero, but calling him a hero should not end the conversation. A cockpit is supposed to be one of the most secure places on an aircraft. If an attack can happen there at 34,000 feet, serious questions must be asked about cockpit security, crew screening and emergency procedures. Courage saved lives this time. Not everyone is lucky every time. Aviation authorities should conduct the deepest possible background checks on pilots.

Whenever a woman has tried to raise her voice for herself, society has tried to silence her. Tell her to adjust. Tell her to compromise. Tell her to protect the family. Tell her to tolerate it. But the moment she says enough, suddenly she is called arrogant, shameless or characterless. This is the ugly truth. A woman is praised when she sacrifices herself for everyone else, but attacked when she finally chooses herself. Let her speak. Let her fight. If her voice scares you, you are the problem. नारी जाग्रतु, समाजः जाग्रतु।

If the view outside Indian houses started looking like this, people wouldn’t mind paying 40% tax. People don’t hate paying taxes. People want well planned housing societies, clean and beautiful cities, proper footpaths and public spaces, and green surroundings. I am ready to pay 40% tax on everything, but I want this.

Trump can publicly praise Sundar Pichai, call him a monster, joke with him and everyone laughs. No one starts shouting that Trump is favouring a businessman. Just imagine Modi saying the same thing about Mukesh Ambani. Within minutes, the opposition would turn it into a political issue and social media would be full of crony capitalism debates. This is also a weakness in our political culture. A PM should be able to appreciate a successful Indian businessman without every interaction becoming a political controversy. You can question policies and still acknowledge success. Maybe India needs to learn this simple thing. Supporting Indian business does not automatically mean supporting one party or one businessman.

Packaged food is being sold without a manufacturer name, expiry date, mfg date, or any details. Just nothing. It is very common in India, but thanks to the health department, which rarely raids such places. This has been happening for decades. Nothing is going to change until there is outrage. Babus are in sleeping mode. All they care about is just salary increases and weekends.
