The Congress has opened another front against CEC. KERALAM HOME MINISTER ORDERS VIGILANCE PROBE INTO CEC GYANESH KUMAR @Neethureghu reports that the probe follows allegations relating to Kumar’s tenure as Kerala PWD Secretary in 2006, including alleged criminal misconduct in the award of public works to contractors. The complaint, filed by Malayankeezhu Venugopal, also refers to the suicide of Lee See Ben, a Malaysian Chief Project Manager with the Indo-Malaysian joint venture PATI-BEL. His alleged suicide note reportedly mentioned Gyanesh Kumar. Vigilance had earlier conducted enquiries into the allegations, which the complainant claims were abruptly closed. The Kerala Home Minister has now ordered a fresh vigilance enquiry into the allegations.
