Postgres because it is portable

Postgres for a typical server-backed app; SQLite when a local file and zero ops are the right fit.

Postgres. Not because it wins any single benchmark but because it is the only one on that list you will not have to migrate off when the requirement you did not anticipate shows up. Everything else there is a bet that your needs stay narrow.

It depends on the type of application, but generally I use PostgreSQL.

I go with supabase, as it gives auth, realtime, edge function, etc... which ease the development and yeah its powered by PostgreSQL

postgresql for most new apps, especially when you want strong consistency, relational data, and room to scale 🚀
