I’ve always felt there’s a new way to have fun when it comes to NFTs. Especially when a project introduces new mechanics around burning, minting, liquidity and tokens. I call it having fun onchain. @phnxprotocol is doing this with PHNX and $EMBER as supplies changes based on what holders do. Burn to earn $EMBER. Revive to bring NFTs back. Or Vaporize an NFT forever for exclusive benefits. There are two assets in play here: PHNX → the Genesis NFT $EMBER → the protocol token And everything revolves around something called the Phoenix Vault. The Vault gives holders three choices: Burn. Revive. Vaporize. Here’s how it works. ➤ 🔥 Burn You put your PHNX into the Vault. The NFT still exists. It’s simply taken out of circulation. In return, the protocol creates $EMBER based on how many NFTs are currently sitting in the Vault. The more NFTs in the Vault, the bigger the next Burn reward becomes. So: PHNX supply ↓ $EMBER supply ↑ 20% of the newly created $EMBER goes to stakers. If nobody is staking, that portion gets burned. ➤ Revive Want your NFT back? You can Revive one from the Vault. But you don’t choose which PHNX you get. You pay $EMBER based on the current Vault size. At the same Vault count, Revive costs 2× what a Burn creates, with 80% of the payment burned and 20% going to stakers. So: PHNX supply ↑ $EMBER supply ↓ And if the Vault is empty, there is nothing to Revive. You can only bring back NFTs that someone previously put into it. ➤ Vaporize This is the permanent option. You destroy your PHNX forever. No $EMBER reward. No $EMBER payment. Instead, you receive a Lifetime SBT Pass with exclusive ecosystem benefits. Only 200 NFTs can ever be Vaporized. Once those 200 are gone, they’re gone permanently. That means the circulating PHNX supply can eventually fall below the original 888 forever. So what actually makes Phoenix different? The important part is that 888 isn’t necessarily the circulating supply. Some PHNX can be: → In wallets → Locked in the Vault → Vaporized permanently And $EMBER doesn’t have a fixed supply either. The protocol only creates new $EMBER through Burns. Revives destroy it. Staking locks it. Vaporizing doesn’t affect it. So the numbers constantly change based on what holders actually do. Even the initial setup follows this idea. Genesis has 888 PHNX, with a mint price of 0.018 ETH. The ETH raised goes into liquidity, while the team seeds the Vault with 15 PHNX to make the system functional from the beginning. Then the loop starts: Burn → more PHNX enters the Vault → larger future Burn rewards + higher Revive cost Revive → PHNX leaves the Vault → $EMBER gets destroyed Vaporize → PHNX disappears permanently From ashes, strategy rises. 🔥 888 PHNX. $EMBER.
