Come Be A Part of What We're Building With Flat2VR Studios!
From some angles it can look like VR is slowing down again. We don't see it that way, and we'd love your help proving it.
Look at what modders keep pulling off. A developer friend who we worked on Zenith together CircuitLord put out an absolutely incredible Titanfall 2 mod a few days ago. Cactus VR Studios just made a Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal VR mod that feels incredible. These are single developers with real experience working on VR games doing incredible work. Now imagine a whole fleet of them, with the original source code, the design docs, the ability to work on it full time every day for years, and the freedom to rework core parts until they feel amazing in VR. That's what we're doing with Flat2VR Studios.
As incredible as modding is, there are things it just can't do. Official ports with fully native builds. Real marketing that keeps going after a couple YouTube videos spike and fade, so new people continue to come into VR for the first time and grow the medium. And maybe most of all, revenue coming back to the developers, so the industry can see there's real value in bringing games to VR officially.
We've announced High on Life VR and System Shock Remake VR, there are even bigger games in the works, and bigger studios keep trusting us with their IP. That gets us into worlds nobody could afford to build from the ground up on a VR budget.
So we're raising money to go further, and we wanted to invite the community where this all started to be part of the story. A lot of this work takes years to get going and we're finally starting to hit our stride and need to expand further. It's building toward something bigger, and VR needs people like us to step up and show the industry what players really want.
