I visited the San Diego and El Centro border sectors to meet with the soldiers and Marines who are locking down the southern border. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, and the work of Joint Task Force Southern Border, our border is more secure than ever. DoW National Defense Areas 4 & 5 are positioned directly across from major narco-terrorist strongholds in Mexico. Every day, Task Force Leviathan (San Diego) and Task Force Ram (El Centro) are disrupting drug and human trafficking operations, preventing illegal migrant crossings, and using advanced technology to detect and defeat drones.

AMERICA’S @SECWAR!🇺🇸

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth drains 9 out of 10 three-point shots after a workout. Hegseth played basketball for Princeton University from 1999-2003. In high school, he set the school record for most career three-point shots. Impressive.

…until morale improves.

.@SECWAR took the field for the coin toss at the AIR FORCE VS. NAVY game. “MEN—WARRIORS. GET AFTER IT.”

@SECWAR "When we talk about the best, the best— They don’t reside in Washington, D.C. They don't reside in Hollywood—they don't reside in New York City. THEY RESIDE IN COLORADO SPRINGS. IN OUR SERVICE ACADEMIES, IN OUR ROTC PROGRAMS, IN OUR BASIC TRAINING..."

Army to establish new autonomy command, acquisition executive breakingdefense.com/2026/10/…

Under @POTUS’s leadership and @SecWar’s direction, we are crushing bureaucratic inertia to forge the U.S. Army Futures and Autonomous Systems Command. By prioritizing autonomy across our formations, acquisitions, and training, we are delivering lethal capabilities straight into the hands of our warfighters to dominate the future battlefield.

Counter-Drone Capabilities⚡#JTF_SB #Soldiers operate a high-energy laser counter-sUAS system near Rio Grande City, Texas, in response to increased drone activity along the #southernborder. 🎥 Watch: dvidshub.net/r/bedjx2 @usnortherncmd @DeptofWar @CBP #ArdentVanguard

Under SecWar Hegseth, @DeptofWar is eliminating red tape holding back counter-UAS capabilities. We are accelerating anti-drone tech from months to days. “We will not answer a fast-moving threat with a slow-moving bureaucracy,” @SecWar write in the memo. Read: war.gov/News/Releases/Releas…

#BREAKING Law enforcement sources confirm that roughly 500 troops are deploying this week to Texas’ Rio Grande Valley —Being dropped onto islands by chinook helicopters. It comes after suspected cartel members shot at a USCG vessel near Roma over the weekend—The coast guard returned fire. @USCG in a statement saying, “On Sept. 26, Coast Guard Forces Rio Grande personnel encountered gunfire from the Mexican border in the vicinity of Garceno, Texas while conducting joint interdiction operations with federal partners on the Rio Grande. Coast Guard personnel returned fire. No injuries to Coast Guard, or other personnel were reported, and no damage to Coast Guard assets was reported.    The Coast Guard works closely with U.S. Border Patrol, the Department of War and the Texas Military Department to secure the border, disrupt illicit activity and protect the American people. We will continue to leverage a layered, integrated approach to control, secure, and defend the border that strengthens our collective ability to counter illicit activity and safeguard our personnel and the communities we serve.   Threats to Coast Guard members and our partners are taken extremely seriously. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.” 🎥 via Mateo Garcia

I am directing all commanders and supervisors at every level to conduct a one-day stand-down in the month of October. Every warrior will be given the opportunity to vote.

No fatties, no trannies, no beardos, no weirdos, no wimps, no radicals. JUST WARRIORS.
