I'm getting a new office space in November. I went today and took pictures and a 3D scan with some app on my phone. I gave all the files to Codex and told it to render it while I got on a call. Here you can see the clean render, and the 3D scan as well! Wild times.

In about 30 minutes, I had a 3d rendering of my home. Most of that time was me scanning it with my phone. Here's how: 1. Have a phone that has Lidar (iPhone 12 Pro and beyond has this) 2. Get a scanning app like PolyCam for iOS. Scan the space and use their free export to GLTF format 3. Load that into AI - I used Codex with Astra Been seeing some people post designs and wanted to see how to do it myself. Turns out, it was super easy. Now I can chat with AI to have it try out different redesign scenarios and even walk around inside it.
