The experience is designed to be secure. Transactions require biometric authentication like Face ID, Touch ID, or the cardholder’s passcode, adding a layer of protection against fraud. Apple Pay also uses tokenised card credentials, so the customer’s actual card number isn’t shared with the business. This helps reduce the risk of fraudulent transactions and chargebacks.
