I just added 3D low-poly model generation to Retro Diffusion! Create super high quality low poly models with pixel art textures in minutes. Then animate them however you want with just a prompt! Check it out on the site and the API/MCP!

Spoiler, crypto had almost zero uses for anyone, AI can be useful to anyone. My technologically illiterate family members are using AI for emails, accounting, general questions, and even insurance claims. It costs almost nothing, and has saved them tens of thousands of dollars.
ai bros are starting to use the same argument crypto bros did "only 2% of the population is using it" spoiler: it's going to stay that way

Brought the cost down to ~$5 in spend... gotta get it down a bit further. I don't want to charge more than $4 for an environment. Even that seems pretty steep, even though it literally is a tileset that lets you make infinitely levels.
Abandoned warehouse, generated in ~12 minutes. Cost like $12 just in llm token spend, but I'm working on bringing the cost down. Coming to Retro Diffusion soon!

This is already becoming one of the most popular models on Retro Diffusion! Really cool to see the response to it. And ofc I know why, meshy, tripo, etc just can't make models this clean. Nevermind with compact, editable texture atlases.

Louder for the people in the back: Building is easy. Marketing is hard. If you have distribution you win. Thats the whole equation. Look at every indie game for the last decade. Look at mobile games. Why do you think Raid burns so much money on sponsorships. It works.
Someone recreated my game with AI and is now threatening to publish it on Steam unless I pay him $200. Obviously, I'm not paying. First video: my actual game. Second video: the AI-generated clone. He apparently found my game through Twitter, fed it into an AI tool, and recreated what he saw. Now he's asking for $200 or he'll publish it. I鈥檓 sharing this as a heads-up because I assume I鈥檓 probably not the only indie dev he's doing this to. I guess we have to be more careful about sharing our projects publicly now. You can spend months making a game, post it online, and someone can apparently try to recreate it with AI almost immediately. Not gonna lie, it鈥檚 kind of funny, but also not funny at all. #indiedev #indiegame #unity

I've added glowing textures to the low poly 3D models! Now whenever you generate one, it makes emissive textures for you. The textures still look great without lighting properties, but now they really pop.

I've come up with an idea to build 3D environments/environment tiles with this... I'll update as I get it working. The idea will be you can say something like "a forest with a stream" and it builds a bunch of 3D "chunks" in a scene that you can use with procgen 馃槑

You can get some really nice atmosphere just with some very simple effects. Opus 5.5 did all the masking, built all the nodes, and set all the values. Every effect can be edited, turned off, or deleted. The original still artwork is totally intact!
Here I took an old piece of hand-made pixel art, and passed it through the SFX pipeline I'm working on. It's like juiceFX or PixelComposer, but you can generate effects with prompts.
