Three losing seasons in nine full campaigns for Whitey Herzog in St. Louis. Three in 16 for Tony La Russa. Three in five for Oli Marmol. Franchise will notify us when we’re allowed to hold him accountable. Building, developing … wins merely a bonus.

The Chicago Cubs may genuinely be the most talented team in baseball post-trade deadline. This team is so much fun

He was even colder in the playoffs.

Go back and watch every at bat and moment he was involved in all season. It’s a compilation of meaningless stat padding, overdramatic catches, temper tantrums, and the recipient of Manfred-mandated meatballs. There’s genuinely no way anybody can think this guy is an all-timer.
PETE CROW ARMSTRONG VS THE PADRES 0-7 😭😭😭 4 strikeouts 🔥🔥🔥 1 ABS challenge lost 💀💀💀 1 error in CF 😳😳😳 More temper tantrums than hits 🥶🥶 BUILT FOR OCTOBER ????

- It’s the first inning - You’re playing the Miami Marlins - You erupt like you just won the World Series over a statpadded stolen base This is a new low, even for Cubs fans

Nolan Gorman when you ask him not to strike out
Banana Ball
Nolan Gorman admittedly didn't respond well to getting demoted, saying, “I was pretty miserable. I don’t consider myself a Minor League player whatsoever. I think there is a lot of good I can do up here." He's hoping for another shot from the #STLCards. roundtable.io/sports/mlb/car…

You know what… let’s make it the best last 4 games in franchise history #lfg
BIGGEST game of the year tonight. You know what’s a whole lot better than 5 games under .500? 4 games under .500. You know what’s better than 4 games under .500? Playoffs. Biggest game of the entire year tonight. It’s all on the line. Officially declaring a #MUSTWIN (7-10 in my must win games this year). I am so fired up to watch these birds play

Is anything this dude does actually impressive to anyone? Or is it all media hype slop just to crown someone in a down year for actual talent???
Stolen base No. 39! Pete Crow-Armstrong is just ONE SB away from 40/40 👀

This being a big complaint of the fanbase is just a sad sign of the times.
Busch stadium is a place where home runs go to die. It can be frustrating for some Cardinal players. Chaim Bloom told me there are no plans to move the walls in. He said it certainly wouldn’t help his pitchers and he’d rather spend the money on improving the team.

I wonder what end of season gimmick they’ll throw at us

It is their longest stretch without a playoff appearance since grunge music, their longest absence since DeWitt ownership group bought the team. The Cardinals have not won a playoff game since 2019. That streak will continue for at least another year. stltoday.com/sports/professi…
