I recently hiked the Barclay Lake Trail in Gold Bar with the @SierraClub and @TroutUnlimited. The lake and surrounding wilderness area are currently protected by the Roadless Rule. Barclay Lake and public lands across #WA08 need to be safeguarded, and I will continue fighting to strengthen forest health, wildfire mitigation, and environmental protections.

As a pediatrician, I’ve taken care of patients whose health conditions were found at birth because we were able to complete early newborn screening – which saves lives. My reaction to RFK Jr.'s comments to the anti-vax Children’s Health Defense group last week.

I remain heartbroken that the crew of Zeus 95, including Captain Savino of Covington, died last spring in flight operations over Iraq. I introduced legislation today, alongside @PattyMurray and @SenatorCantwell, to establish a monument at Arlington National Cemetery for the fallen crewmembers.
