Veterans who lose their medals can rely on my office to help recover replacements. In September, I presented replacement medals, including a Purple Heart, to honor the Vietnam service of the late Gary Winebarger. I presented the medals to his widow in Wise County.

I applaud @POTUS for prioritizing increased U.S. coal purchases by China. As an advocate for SWVA coal mining, I support negotiating tactics to have China purchase more American coal. This will help economic growth, protect coal jobs and provide certainty for coal operators.

For too long, Medicaid fraud has cost American taxpayers and Medicaid beneficiaries. Through this kind of action, we can improve fraud identification efforts and prevent foreign criminal actors from stealing valuable benefits that belong to patients.
Medicaid should be protected to serve the patients for which it was intended. That's why @HouseCommerce is introducing one of the most important health care packages this Congress to strengthen program integrity and preserve precious taxpayer dollars. Read more ⬇️

Stop SNAP fraud. SNAP benefits belong to the needy and vulnerable, not thieves. However, no system is currently in place to reimburse victims of SNAP theft, creating hardship for SNAP recipients. I am proud to support a bill to protect SNAP recipients and punish fraudsters.

Communities should not foot the bill for data centers’ electricity. Electricity consumption costs associated with building and operating data centers must be passed along to data centers, not the household ratepayer. Proud to vote for this bill.
✅ PASSED THE HOUSE The House just passed @RepGabeEvans’ Ratepayer Protection Act, securing protections for American families from rising energy costs and holding data centers responsible for their energy use.
