Only this madarjaat had to stop comments in whole thread because they know people will butcher them
Patience, everyone. By this time tomorrow, the mystery will be over.

Didnt have the guts to call it 10x plan right? @thsottiaux why would i not buy plus plans on demand than care to commit $200 in one go if the gains are linear ?

Hi, Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscriptions to new subscribers, but together with it we are also changing how we calculate the usage for it. In effect, if you do the math, it will net out at half the dollar in API spend compared to the old Pro $200 plan. Now that it's said, let me explain why this is happening and why you will still get more work done than if you were on the Pro $200 subscription one month ago. (a) We didn't want to compromise in other ways and are committing to not reintroducing the 5h limit, so that you can fully use the weekly usage when you want. (b) On the subscription, we guarantee that over time you always get more work done and with an increasing level of quality. This means that you will continue to get more value per dollar spent as a result of models getting more efficient and us passing down the improvements in the form of API price reductions. (c) We don't want to put an incentive on ourselves to artificially inflate the API list prices to make it look like you are getting a lot (and workaround it through discounts, etc). Instead we want to continue to both rapidly reduce prices and increase capabilities of models on the API. This week we introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna at 50% of their previous price. Over time, we see prices go low enough that it makes sense for most to buy usage as needed without there being a significant gap between what you get in a subscription and what you get in the API for a dollar spent. (d) Tomorrow, we are adding more things to the subscription that won't draw on the usage, I won't reveal what that is yet. I wanted to be transparent before all the big announcements tomorrow. Lots of new exciting things are coming to the subscriptions that will make it super compelling, but I wanted to make sure to share this change ahead of time so you can all understand it before we shower you with good news. Codexingly, Tibo

Somebody should sue openai for cutting usage on already paid for plans

Ball knowers know codex is better than both instict and meta.. congrats @ajambrosino @thsottiaux @sama
I have been using Codex as my primary "agent" for such a long time that I forget the average person has never used it.. Instinct and Muse are great especially for browser use on the phone. It shows what a great agent is like for the masses with ZERO setup. But, Codex on Mac is simply undefeated in all the work in can do with Computer Use (h/t @AriX and the Sky team). Like try doing a workflow that you do manually and give it Codex to one-shot. I can't wait to see what their latest launch will be as they reportedly get ready to release their "agent" to the masses. My only ask would be to showcase the work and make it easy for folks to get started. Such a privileged time to be a customer for all these products - truly the golden age!

Last month I wrote about how we can build a positive and safe future for everyone: meta.com/thefutureisforevery… Every lab has the responsibility and incentive to move at the pace required to train its models safely, and the ability to take its own actions to ensure that happens. The reality is: - People won't want to use agents that are misaligned with them and that don't do what they ask, so labs have a strong natural incentive to make their models more aligned. There is a lot of debate about slowing progress on capabilities until alignment catches up. My view is that trust and alignment are quickly becoming the most important capabilities that will differentiate agents and models. Any lab that doesn't focus on alignment will fall behind. - Labs face significant liability if their models cause harm, so they have a strong incentive to prevent this as well. Meta delayed shipping Muse for several months to focus on safety and security. We didn't call for everyone else to do this before we would. We just did it as part of our day-to-day work because it was clearly the right thing for people and for us. I'm proud of the security foundations we've built. - Engaging independent evaluators and advisors is industry best practice. MSL already does this today in several areas because it helps produce better work. Other labs can just do this too. In general, it would be helpful for there to be a larger and more diverse ecosystem of evaluators. - Committing the significant majority of compute towards serving people rather than racing towards recursive self-improvement is one of the best ways to ensure we develop this technology safely. Meta has made this commitment and other labs can do this as well. I believe the key to building a positive future for everyone is maintaining the right balance of power. This is within our power to do.

Indian americans must take it upon ourselves to correct the blunder of 2024 and finish MAGA for once and forever. Midterms and 2028. Every vote must count. Let's make them cry
I heard UT graduation this year looked like this. I didn’t believe it. The problem is now obviously far worse than anyone imagined.

Oh MAGA we gave you our trust and you bit us like a cobra. but sadly, your backstabs failed. Blue wave so massive in 2 months and then 2 yrs, GOP will be finished forever. Then you can look back fondly, how openly you could witch hunt indians in the trump era.
