Canada’s drugs go well beyond the people using them.
Crows in Prince George are being given naloxone.
Not a joke. Rescuers found birds unresponsive downtown after they ate discarded street drugs. Volunteers sprayed Narcan. The crows woke up and flew away.
When the supply is that toxic it does not stay with the people using it. It hits the sidewalk. Then the garbage. Then the wildlife.
Prince George has already been living with sirens and overdose calls. Now a crow rescue group is treating birds the same way first responders treat people.
