One of those records everybody should know.
Freddie Hubbard, George Coleman, Ron Carter, Tony Williams and Herbie leaving just enough space for all of them.

King Harvest wrote it, Toploader made it feel like a summer evening. Still one of my favorite covers.

Happy 82nd birthday to Eddie Gomez!
The Bill Evans Trio’s bassist for 11 years, later with Steps Ahead and Chick Corea. Known for quick reflexes, lyrical solos, and a huge body of work as both sideman and leader.

Always fun to pick the 9 albums that made you who you are musically. Here’s mine.
What’s yours?
I love games, and I love music just as much.
Some albums shaped who I am, so I made my9albums.
Pick the 9 albums that made you, turn them into a poster, and share it.

Otis Redding recorded “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” just three days before he died in a plane crash at 26.
He never got to hear his unfinished song become his only U.S. No. 1 hit.
