I am thrilled to announce that @beaconholdings has acquired @haizelabs, with me joining as VP of AI Research. We started Haize in 2024 to enable anyone to build reliable and safe AI. Through our red-teaming and safeguards work with the frontier labs; our observability, guardrail, and evaluation platform serving the world’s largest enterprises; and our pro bono SMB work, any customer could build AI they trusted with Haize. Joining Beacon lets us deliver the same trustworthy AI to those who need it most, and those most overlooked by Silicon Valley: the essential Main Street businesses the real world depends upon. Transitioning these essential businesses through the AI revolution is one of the most consequential responsible AI problems of our time. We couldn’t be more honored to tackle it with Beacon. We’ve raised $300M in Series C funding at a $10.3B valuation from Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz, Jane Street, Argo, and SK Hynix. Our mission is to run the world's inference. This round accelerates production of our inference clusters. We've opened an 80,000-sqft, 10-MW facility 15 minutes from our office to expedite production and prototyping.

At @ElorianAI, we believe AI should offer the world more than the abilities of a toddler, but the best models still can’t visually reason better than a three year old. RL is the ultimate systems challenge: pretraining's trainer, prod's inference & environment stack, and eval's rewards in one loop trained end-to-end. Whoever runs that loop best at the bleeding edge (nvfp4, 1M context, agentic grading, ...) owns the frontier.

This move really damages trust in the research community. Imagine a professor who read everyone else's open research for free and wrote their own series of books but has a strict rule: you are banned from using those books to help you become a professor.

Honoured that our 2016 paper, Robust Estimators in High Dimensions without the Computational Intractability, w/ Ilias Diakonikolas, Daniel Kane, Jerry Li, Ankur Moitra, Alistair Stewart, was awarded the 2026 Gödel Prize This is the highest award for papers in theoretical CS. 1/7

These days if someone ships a PR slowly my prior is "wow they must really have put some thought into the design and testing of this code" vs zero-shotting it with claude or codex...now a 10x engineer = 10x quality not 10x output
