Agent-native DeFi needs a stable foundation, with reserve-generated value flowing back into the ecosystem, not out. We want to see autonomous agents trading, lending, managing positions, and moving capital across Somnia. A stable asset they can operate around is a key part of making that possible. Allocations received through the USDso Yield Allocation Framework can be distributed to market makers based on quote quality and time spent providing liquidity near the top of book. This allows liquidity providers to benefit from the economic activity supported by USDso within the ecosystem. 6/8

Reserve yield generated by the frxUSD reserves backing USDso is allocated through a 90/10 framework when USDso is held within approved protocols. 90% is directed to participating protocols, while 10% is allocated to an ecosystem-wide insurance fund intended to support exploit coverage, backstop guarantees, and other protective mechanisms over time. The result is a model where both ecosystem growth and ecosystem resilience can benefit from increasing USDso adoption. Furthermore, one of the most important aspects of the framework is flexibility. The framework determines how yield is allocated. It does not dictate how protocols use it. Each protocol can decide how allocations are deployed. They may choose to improve user incentives, support liquidity, subsidize borrowing costs, enhance trading experiences, or develop entirely new economic models around USDso. Update regarding S5 allocations. First of all, thank you to everyone who participated and supported Somnia throughout the campaign. The level of activity, feedback, and engagement across the ecosystem has been incredible to see. Following community feedback, the following adjustments are being made: - Discord role and Yapper allocations will be unlocked 100% on day one, with vesting only applying to quest allocations - Vesting reduced from 8 weeks to 4 weeks - Odyssey task difficulty reduced substantially The overall S5 allocation amount will remain as originally planned. As Somnia continues expanding across agentic applications, DeFi infrastructure, and ecosystem products, there will be many more opportunities to participate through future campaigns, incentives, and ecosystem initiatives.
