Naz Habib's AP Physics students at South Fayette High School run their kinematics lab with pull-back toy cars, timing and graphing motion down a taped hallway floor. The class favorite is the Tumble Buggy, which flips over and rolls the other way anytime it hits something. ๐๐ค
Haylee Ali's life skills class at SFES runs a weekly Positive Pantry visit: students push the cart, greet a teacher, & deliver a snack picked out ahead of time, practicing life & social skills while offering to cover the teacher's class for 10 minutes so they can take a break. ๐
For the 2nd year running, SFHS's Tech Ed program hosted the elementary's Mini Makers: Dr. Melissa Unger brought roughly 40 second graders to AJ Mannarino's shop to build picture frames and keychains on the laser engraver. They're back at the end of October to build more. ๐๐ค
