If you’re on a 200 plan it makes absolutely no sense upgrading to the 500 plan before October 29th.
As your 20x plan is grandfathered from the usage reduction you would pay more than double to only go from 20x to 25x.
And don’t tell me that it is for the Ultrafast mode because that makes even less sense, unless you’ve got money to waste of course

Dear @thsottiaux, If you have enough compute to hand out several resets, why not raise our usage limits instead? Let us manage our own usage and plan around something predictable.
Waiting around hoping for a surprise reset is no way to work. We’re left guessing: “Should I upgrade? Get another account? Use higher effort today, or save my quota in case Tibo doesn’t drop a reset?”
These decisions shouldn’t depend on someone’s next post.
But OpenAI treating users like children to discipline or spoil is nothing new. We’ve had years to get used to it.
Speaking of treating us like adults: whatever happened to “adult mode”?

GPT-6.1 Sol has just gotten 100% faster than yesterday.
It is indeed a great model for everyday work and I hardly see my usage move when I use it.
Out of all things released on DevDay, 6.1 is the best for me.

• 6 banked resets + 1 hard reset to celebrate 6.1 release
• No reduced usage for existing 20x and 5x plans
Now THAT would have been a DevDay worthy of the hype.
