What do coding agents cost in RAM?
Kilo main process: about 965 MB. Its remote helper: about 534 MB. MCP helpers add only 56 to 75 MB per session.
My agent first reported 0.5 GB too much by double counting shared memory. Then it caught itself.

Copilot's models inside Grok Build? There's no plugin, so I built a tiny local bridge.
Grok Build talks to localhost, the bridge talks to Copilot, and five Copilot models appear in the picker. Default stays Grok.

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash is free, but only inside Cline. Hit the raw API and it's a 403. NVIDIA's copy of V4 Flash has been dead since 7 Aug. Direct DeepSeek works, but costs money.

A 1.9 GB memory leak on my Mac. Not an app. A ghost.
I'd unplugged an external drive and its NFS mount stayed behind. The process serving it ballooned to 1.9 GB.
Fix: no attribute caching, cleanup after 10s, a 60s guard job. Now: 14 MB.

fx: Zig, one tiny binary, v0.0.12, experimental.
No independent benchmark yet, so no winner on vibes. Pi is my main. fx is for small native jobs.

My router turned a quota problem into a vague 400. Check your gateway logs before you debug your code.
