The light works. The gravity works. Anything else we have to take our chances with.

The firing mechanic is finally done! 🔥🧱 It introduced a bunch of entirely new concepts (fueled crafting recipies, crafting in batches, crafting that requires time to be completed), so I've been refactoring a ton of code lately 😅 #gamedev #indiedev #indiegames

And here is what happens when my theories don't pan out: the DFF lacking a clock signal simply halts the entire process. Oh well, time to come up with some other hypotheses. It’ll work eventually, but I’m already nominating the #TangConsole60k as the most convoluted, twisted

contraption among all the Gowin chips.🤪

The refinement involves testing one specific "spine"—SPINE27. It differs radically from the other 30 spines because its switching cell falls within a non-existent, empty area. In theory, I imagine it’s combined with the adjacent cell, but it’s not straightforward due to

overlapping wire numbers, so I need to verify how it actually works :)

Excellent! 15 DFFs scattered across different clock quadrants are up and running. One LED is dedicated to the "ticks" :) This example will be included in *apicula* once I finish refining it. #fpga#apicula

I wonder if this tree's fruit is tasty?

When #apicula generates a version that works on actual hardware, while the vendor IDE produces a non-working version from the same source code, it becomes clear that I must be dreaming. I think I'll turn my attention to #netbsd on some Pi (not Raspberry :) ) for now.

Due to the complex clock routing structure in TangConsole60k, I am creating a specific example using 16 D-type flip-flops (DFFs) distributed across independent sections of the chip So far, 10 flip-flops are being used: those in the bottom and those in the right section of the top

"Hmm, this is using a whole 6 kilobytes - that won't do; I'll try to shrink it." Working within very tight memory constraints isn't exactly unfamiliar to me, but it is something I'd somewhat forgotten about. And it's actually quite fun. :) #micropython

This isn't just any blinking LED, this LED is blinking under timer interrupts! so the main loop can do other things...

Gee! I finally found that missing wire :) #TangConsole60k has learned to use its clock. 😜 Adjustments: all the design's flip-flops are neatly placed in the bottom half of the chip, since I have no idea how to handle the clock in the top half.😉 #fpga#apicula

And once again, television fails to capture the delight of watching a squirrel trying to predict the weather.

The Search for Spock. The clocks on the TangConsole60k still aren't working, but I managed to narrow the discrepancy down to 20 cells. 🤣 #fpga

A significant birthday for #Elite this year - the game is now 42 years old. Definitely the answer to Life, The Universe and Everything! The #MostlyHarmless combat ranking is another connection to Douglas Adams' #HHGTTG. I wonder what he would have made of #EliteDangerous?

Wow! A request came in to our cool #MicroPython DNS server from some host at address 192.168.1.40, port 17271! 🤣 (wept with joy all night long)

It is undoubtedly magnificent, my second esp32 is consulting the @ergo_platform API, such a small device seems like magic 🧙

TFW you get a package from AliExpress containing some random crap you ordered -who knows when or why.🤣 Hmm... it looks like an ESP32-C3 RISC-V, 160 MHz, 400 KB RAM, 384 KB ROM, 4 MB flash. Hmm... I might be able to cram #MicroPython onto it and play with the display and Wi-Fi
